would be interesting to see how Floyd would react to that kinda power.
He might be able to floor Mayweather early in the fight, maybe even twice. But Floyds defense is on a level by itself and his reflexes are better. I think he'd really frustrate Martinez like no one else could...slippin and deflectin punches with his arms and shoulders and countering with his right while using his left forearm/elbow to create space. Its a pattern you would see over and over again after the first 4 rounds

I think Martinez wanted to finish him in the 12th which is what led to him getting caught they way he did. You are out of your mind if you think that happens again in a rematch, Martinez will win a Floyd like pop shot sweep.

Exactly. I can't front though, I was mad hype when Sergio went toe to toe:ooh::damn:

Martinez proved that hes good but not great, hes not on the elite level with Floyd but hes a very good fighter with a warrior heart

He is good not great? :wtb:

He is not an elite fighter? :what:

Is he on Floyd's level? No, but name an active fighter who is. Martinez is an elite fighter and if he would have took up boxing at a younger age he would be at Floyd's level imo.

You know why there's gonna be a rematch? Because every Mexican boxing fan alive is telling themselves, "He woulda knocked that puta out if there was another round."

EDIT: Ward's definitely my #2 P4P fighter after tonight. Sergio's third.

Chavez has a great chin, a great heart and good power. He just needed to get to work earlier. He was gonna have to take punches anyways, so why not get in there and go after the body? Martinez proved that hes good but not great, hes not on the elite level with Floyd but hes a very good fighter with a warrior heart

chavez is not a good fighter, he built up his undefeated record beating up cans

you're understating Martinez too hard. i just looked at some of your post. he can deflect some of those overhand rights with his arm. after a while that shyt hurts. it would be a better fight than you give it credit and Martinez could actually win.

That has got to be one of the GOAT 12th rounds in boxing history. Had Chavez not been bullshytting for 11 rounds he would've won this fight, but at the same time props to Martinez for surviving. If after this loss Chavez doesn't take his career serious he needs to walk away. Canelo and Martinez got my Coli Cash up so :win:
