you cant pull the trigger if you dont know where the hell the damn target is :beli:

Chavez is way too slow for Sergio, and Sergio was not giving him a target to unload on. Chavez only beats guys by throwing them on the ropes or in the corner and wailing at the body. Sergio was not allowing that at all tonight until the last round where he wanted a KO and opened himself up.

Chavez didnt have many chances to do anything tonight because Sergio is too fast for him, both with his feet and hands.
If you say so.

Does anyone else think this makes it easier for Sergio to get the big fights he wants? It makes him look vulnerable, which could work to his advantage.

Also, Max is usually my guy when it comes to boxing, but fukk him for asking about a rematch. He should've asked about Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather, or maybe even Andre Ward. Of course Sergio isn't going to say no to that. He'd love to beat Chavez down again and get an even bigger payday.

Sergio demonstrated that he is much more superior to Jr. Chavez Jr showed that he is far from an elite level fighter. Martinez says he wants to fight the best fighters. But if they offer him a rematch, he'll take it in a second to cash in. I'd like to see Sergio move up and fight Ward or give Golovkin a shot. You know Sergio wants Floyd or Canelo (especially for the payday). But I think we will see Floyd vs Canelo first. Also, calling out fighters in lower divisions kind of seems lame. :pachaha: at these HBO dummies trying to sell us a rematch with Chavez Jr.

he's right. look at guys like Andy Lee. he was a sitting target even tho he was up on most cards. but once he REALLY felt that power it was a rap. it was only so long that Chavez was going to be able to get away with fighting guys that fit his style.

i cant wai to watch this fight.

:mindblown:

its almost as if you didnt watch this fight.
I watched the fight very closely. You don't think Chavez could've went and tried to turn it into a slugfest at times. There were moments where Martinez got close or up against the ropes and Jr just waited. Chavez didn't stand a fukkin chance but he could've tried a lot more than he did.

if Martinez was able to get off clean shots on Chavez. Golovkin would knock him out.

He was supposed to fight Ortiz tonight. I think they wanna line him up with a big fight next for sure. The Lopez fight was an absolute joke and a step back though. I know Lopez beat Vicot but that was flukey as fukk

i know that but still the the thing is WHY is he fighting a junior welterweights and welterwieghts?

why isn't he fighting junior middleweights?!?!?!?!?
we know the deal with kirland and paul williams.

but he could have fought k9 bundrage which would have been a better fight and collected another trinket.

why not the cuban lara or carlos molina, shyt i would have been satisfied with a hungry young fighter like garbiel rosado.

I hope Jr. learned that he can't win a fight at the elite level while slacking so bad on his training. His skills aren't good enough to make up for that. Unfortunately, the smile on his face after the fight told me otherwise. :snoop:
