I see it as - they're not gonna say no tonight because how would that look? It's all reactionary & the right thing to say, but there's no need for a rematch with that overweight bum.

If nothing else, go get those WBA & IBF middleweight belts from Daniel Geale in a few months. :manny:

hes trying to make money moves here.. .going after geale or whoever uknown name brings him no money..

chavez jr brings him most money ... and to him at least im sure he thinks he can win easy again...

in fact he should be thankful chavez jr didnt quit and brought the business that last round... that at least doubles his money in the next fight...

and lol at jr not doing some type of damage to serg in that fight... he was bleeding out the mouf and had cuts in bad spots( i do think ones a butt) but fact is maravilla is a blown up 154 fighter fighting and guy who prob weighed 180ish ...

and super props to maravaila for not holding on that last fight and kept throwing... i was expecting him to get killin in the final exchanges but jr also looked gassed...

this is an easy fight to re sell... all you gotta do is show 12 round again... dont even need to show the other 11... that and actually sell jr in changing his workout habits and all of a sudden there is hope... not saying that the first 11 rounds wont happen again for the full 12 just saying this is a ripe as fukk rematch waitng to happen...

and floyd would never set foot in the ring with serg.... if anything hed rather fight alvarez on some mexico holiday...

yo i watched the mayweather v cotto fight again, floyd's footwork is done. He took plenty of shots and relied on hand work.

Floyd did prevail but it was no shut out!

Why would it be? Miguel Cotto is still a top level fighter.

Floyd has slowed down, and his best days are CLEARLY past him, but he's still better than anyone he can potentially fight. I do believe though if he keeps fighting he's ripe for a loss to a guy on the come up or a guy hitting his prime at the right moment; for example, if Floyd were still around at the end of 2014 or 2015 I could see Canelo taking him out, but I doubt Floyd is around that long.

after the fight i was reading reactions etc. Floyd shut him out and was in control.
I disagree now, that fight was close and floyd was taking some mean shots.

Floyd had very nice hand movements plus speed, that was special.
If you're talking about reactions from this site then it is very important to note that this might be the most pro Mayweather site on the Internet. Floyd is a god to a lot of the posters on here.

First off fukk Fred Roach...his fighters get they ass whooped N he offers no help no plan B or C did the same shyt when khan was gettin rocked by garcia

Chavez needed to throw more with out being set...he reminded me of Tito when he would get out boxed. In the 11th Rd N then the 12th Chavez stopped lookin for the left hook to the body N started throwing lead rights N that seemed to work but was too lil to late

That 12th rd was:ohlawd: lotta nikkas hate on Chavez but dude showed mad heart N if thers a good way to lose that was it :manny:

Martinez is a beast the speed power stamina N guts :lawd:

chavez could not let his hands go because as he walks toward martinez, his head is at the exact level of martinez's straight left - that quick little left would have been landing on him constantly if he was using more pressure to get nearer to martinez. thats why we saw chavez so cautious to just walk in to martinez. this lack of forward pressure wasnt part of his strategy - he did it because he had to do it. he had no choice.

one major weakness for martinez: he didnt need to be on the ropes at all. all problems for him were here and a little step to the side could have avoided all of it. he dominated every single other aspect of boxing.

my conclusion is that sergio can solve his problems in this fight for a rematch but chavez has problems with sergio that can never go away. rematch or not.
