:aicmon: Stop it, aint no future in your frontin bruh. Paul Williams was avoided like crazy at 147. Not sure why you trying to think otherwise

He didnt keep himself in the mix by winning, how can you not understand that getting put on your ass and dominated in a 12 round decision vs a c class fighter ruins everything..................

And aside from a close match with Margarito who imposed his will on Williams, he what other names he fought or beat to warrant a match with Mosley Mayweather, Cotto, and later Pacquaio

he beat Morales before he fought Pac...

I guess you missed the part where I said he was on his way to WW... nate cambell shoulda and coulda moved up..

Nate Campbell was the unified, real champ at 135 after he beat Juan Diaz and was at LW at the same time Pacquiao was. If he was gonna stop at LW he could've fought the dude that just beat the undisputed LW champ.

Morales was coming off THREE straight losses headed into the fight with David Diaz. FOH with that one. Diaz was a scrub champion

He was titleholder at 147. How was he not in the mix in that weight class when he was holding a strap?

:shaq2: he ducked Campbell but fought ODH Mosley Cotto and Margarito

I like how you failed to mention how DLH was washed up and weight drained, Mosley was washed up, Cotto was coming off a brutal loss to Margacheato and Pacquiao was playing weight games, and Margacheato was coming off a 1 year suspension and a beatdown from Shane Mosley.

Yeah all of those wins are crappy

Willaims didn't keep winning long enough in one weight class to eventually get a big fight.

He beat the most feared guy at the time in Margarito and finally stepped on the big stage only to lose to Quintana a short while after. That kinda fukked up who whole standings because it allowed for Margarito to rebound with Cintron to get the big fight with Cotto who was still undefeated and basically the best nikka out since Floyd was retired.

Williams never got the big fight he wanted but I wouldn't say he was being ducked. His moment just didn't last long enough although he always remained a top level fighter. He fukked up his first chance with the whole Quintana debacle. Pavlik was going through to many issues so that big fight never happened and then he got the accident which stopped the Canelo fight. Williams is just one of those dudes that caught a bunch of bad breaks. Imagine if he would of improved his skills and kept winning while looking good. The 154-160 is hot right now so he would of finally gotten that big fight.

Im still pissed off that the Williams-Pavlik fight never happened. That would've been a classic.

Williams is thankful he got motorcyle accident, he would have got killed in the ring, had he took the same shots from Canelo that he took from Lara, who he got a gift from btw. I love Williams but he was shot after Sergio sparked him, voice slurring and all, he had no second run in him

Fighters like Clottley, Margarito, Williams didnt really beat anyone and made a name off of saying they were ducked, why is this hard for people to see

Please. He would've murked Canelo. Canelo and Lara are two totally different fighters. Canelo is a come forward slugger and Lara is a slick, southpaw with movement. Canelo was perfect for Williams
