@Newzz I agree with ur points but didn't we(including you) say may should have fought porter/brook/Thurman instead of taking the easy berto fight after he had already proven he was the best with a clear win over pac?:manny:

UK boxing promoter Eddie Hearn considering move into MMA

Matchroom Boxing could soon see the birth of Matchroom MMA as promoter Eddie Hearn mulls over the possibility of launching a brand in the United Kingdom

After watching UFC grow to eventually selling millions on Pay-Per-View in the United States with stars like Conor McGregor, Hearn is now looking into a similar franchise to work alongside his boxing venture.

“It is true it's something I am considering. It is very early to say if I will get involved but I am looking at it,” Hearn told The Daily Mail’s Sportsmail.

“Obviously my company, Matchroom, has extensive and long experience in combat sports through boxing so it is an area we understand.

“At the moment I am talking to a few people and broadcasters to see what is what and whether it is something to get into.”

“For any sport to thrive it has to be driven by talent and personalities and I'm sure they exist. I feel we have a solid relationship with fight fans and while my heart and souls remains in boxing, I think those fans would be interested to take a look if we made a move.

“Like anyone, I've had my eyes opened to by Conor McGregor, his stature and his popularity. It is incredible. I think the appetite for MMA in general in Britain is very big right now.

“So it is something I want to take a good look at and we will see if anything comes from it,” he added.

McGregor has built himself into a massive worldwide brand and was recently linked to a possible crossover clash with the number one name in boxing for the last generation, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

............................

Majority of fans polled would pay $99.95 for Mayweather v McGregor

Following the Bookmakers placing Conor 'The Notorious' McGregor as much as a massive 11/1, odds which are certainly not justification for fans to have to fork out up to $99.95 to purchase such a one-sided offering, WBN launched a New Year poll to gauge feeling on the possible clash

Floyd Mayweather, boxing's king of the last 20 years, is a best-priced 1/7 on to win a McGregor fight in 2017, meaning any punter would have to bet $700 just to win back $100 for his trouble.

So, the big question WBN asked was, would you fork out your hard-earned cash to watch 'MayMc' in a cross-codes battle?

The results of the poll were as follows; YES 60% and NO 40%

The fight is widely thought to be impossible to make due to McGregor's ties to UFC and Mayweather's unwillingness to step out of retirement, although the results from the fans polled proved to be positive.

Whether the circus of the event has people interested, or the want to see what McGregor has to offer the sport - all seems academic as the cross-codes battle seems destined to be one of those media frenzies that fizzled out quickly

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Floyd was already The Man before he left, came back and picked up where he left off.

Yet was ranked below Manny after Manny beat Cotto... Manny was ranked #1 not Floyd, even when he came back

Floyd was already The Man before he left, came back and picked up where he left off.
:usure:
Not only was Floyd not the man when he came back.. he was still ranked below Shane even after his win vs JMM.. stop trying to revise history breh.. That shyt dont work here :dame:

Really...because as of October 2009, the RING rankings had him listed as #2 under Mosley as the 2nd best WW:sas1:

The Ring Welterweight Ratings

October 2009 RING Rankings:
  1. Shane Mosley
  2. Floyd Mayweather

Pacquiao didn't face Cotto until November 2009, so obviously, like I said....Mosley & Floyd were both ranked ahead of him:sas2:
And some of this may be true, but AGAIN.. Once Manny beat Cotto he not only was recognized as the #1 welterweight by RING.. but also p4p #1 :banderas:

Again...when Pacquiao FACED Cotto, Cotto was not considered to be the best WW. Both Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather were above him like I said:umad:

Cotto was not RING Champ, RING #1, or RING #2 when Pacquiao faced him....so how does beating him make him the best Welterweight, when Floyd was already ranked ahead of Cotto and so was Mosley:jbhmm:

The Ring Welterweight Ratings

October 2009 RING Rankings:
  1. Shane Mosley
  2. Floyd Mayweather
  3. Miguel Cotto
Beating the 3rd best fighter in a division doesn't make you the best in the divison.

The same way Floyd was'nt ranked at all on the welterweight rankings, fights a lightweight who also isn't ranked on the welterweight rankings, then gets catapulted all the way to the #2 spot.. You should ask RING how Manny was #1.. Not me, I dont work there :sas1:

You gonna hold that L @Black_Juelz :umad:

No L was recieved here?? Did you send through Western Union or What can brown do for you?? :mjlol:

You don't get to DISMISS TBRB rankings just a little over a month ago...........only to run back to try and use them when you losing a debate & the one's you chose to ride with list the Toradol Terminator as only the 4th best WW today:heh:

You said TBRB are fraudulent right and that "the fighters have chosen RING as the true champion" right??:umad:

So don't tell me about TBRB awarding "fraudulent"

Me believing TRBR or RING is fraudulent is an OPINION

Pacquiao being the most recent LINEAL champion at welterweight is a FACT...

Online stream exist y'all...
The whole idea of PPV is fukked up imo and I'm glad that it does not exist in my country...

I mean if it's the PPV of an otherwise nationwide free channel then it can be justifiable cause you don't have to pay money for those on the first place and then if there's a big event you can pay it and support them.
However I always though that if networks which are not free even charge extra money for different events is some fukk shyt...

Guess if I would be American I'd buy PPVs too to support the sport I don't talk about that but the whole idea of a PPV and imo people shouldn't have got used to it on the first place...
But I hope for all of you that they forget about this shyt in a decade.

I did...so that's why when I say Canelo should face GGG, Pacquiao should face Crawford, etc there is a precendent already set here for me.

Im not one of the posters who believe that if you face 1 elite fighter in your division & that means you never have to face one ever again

@hyperman25 didnt we just see Crawford beat the RING Champ...but now we trying to match him up with AB, Pacquiao, or Swift?

So, if I'm going to say that about Crawford & Floyd & Canelo, I have to say the same for Pacquiao
