- Matthysse's best days are behind him, but that doesn't mean he can't be an exciting fighter and have some meaningful fights.
- Taylor will give Matthysse hell if he comes in rusty.
nah taylor only gives problems to nikkas with low workrates :youngsabo:

- Picking Lubin by KO and Thurman by late KO or decision.
same here...going to need to look at some odds later

- Bradley wants to come back for the right fight, he is in no rush.
i wouldn't be surprised if dude is cruiserweight size right now and enjoying his money

- No idea why Anthony Peterson is wasting his time.
neither do I..i hope he doesnt have a drug problem we dont know about :patrice:

- It looked like Breazeale may not have trained supremely hard for the fight.
no shyt :russ:

GGG vs. Winky Wright? Winky had one of the best chins ever. GGG would win a decision 12.
i can rock with this :ehh:..he's only been down in 2 fights and considering who he's faced, its impressive

I agree with Wilder being the hardest puncher. Gassiev sparred both Wlad and Wilder said Wilder hit harder. He may be the most technically gifted but that guy has C4 in those gloves. #bombsquad

Mayweather: Do I Think Golovkin Beats Canelo? Absolutely Not!

By Edward Chaykovsky

During his ongoing tour of the UK, retired former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs) gave his thoughts on the potential fall showdown between IBF, WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs).

On Thursday, the boxer turned promoter hit Leicester and sat down with former world champion and Sky Sports broadcast analyst Johnny Nelson to tackle numerous questions from the audience.

Obviously, fans had questions regarding the Golovkin vs. Canelo matchup.

The fight is possible if both boxers win in their upcoming assignments. Golovkin must first overcome mandatory challenger Daniel Jacobs on March 18th at New York's Madison Square Garden, and Canelo is heading up to 164.5-pounds to fight fellow Mexican star Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

After watching Golovkin have some issues last September with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, who moved up by two weight divisions to take that fight, Mayweather is convinced that there are numerous fighters who can beat GGG.

When Nelson asked Mayweather is he's the only boxer capable of beating Golovkin, Mayweather said 'no' and explained that there are several boxers out there who are capable of handing Golovkin his first defeat.

Mayweather also feels Golovkin is being greedy in his position of requesting more money from Canelo's handlers. He was reportedly offered a guarantee of $15 million and a piece of the pay-per-view revenue [provided it goes over a certain number] - but the unified champion also wants a percentage of the overall revenue.

“I’ve always believed that Triple G... he has good punching power as a fighter. He has good punching power, but flat-footed, makes a lot of mistakes. But boxing is totally different now. Fighters want a ton of money but don't want to put the work in. They want the Mayweather paydays, but look at my resume," Mayweather said.

As far as the outcome of a fight between Golovkin and Canelo - Mayweather is beyond confident that Canelo not only wins, but wins in style with a knockout. Mayweather is the only fighter to beat Canelo, when they fought in a highly profitable fight in September of 2013.

"Do I think Triple G can beat Canelo? Absolutely not. I think there’s a few guys out there that can beat Triple G - and Canelo is the top guy on the list that I believe will beat him. I don’t think the fight will go the distance,” said Mayweather.

Lauderdale
well looks DC is turning into a hotspot as well

shyt, it needs to.

In a perfect world these following cities/areas would be getting at least 2 meaningful cards every year.

DC
South Florida (Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami)
Chicago
Texas (Cowboy Stadium)
Ohio
ATL

but instead nikkas can only fight in NY, Vegas, and Cali, and sometimes New Jersey. You got so many diverse populations throughout the country, but 80% of the meaningful fights are thrown at the same 4 places over and over again.

How can the sport grow when you limit its expansion, but :manny:
