as far as 135 goes, i would rather see lundy, linares, gamboa, shyt even at 140 i wouldn't mind seeing him fight, olgusun, kotelnik, soto, even lopez. malignaggi is on his last legs literally if anyone couldn't see that in the cano fight. he's at the tail end and riped for the picking, even goldenboy knows that. there's better fights out there for broner but, from the promoter/business perspective it's a good move making broner-malignaggi.

I see no issue with Broner fighting Paulie...He is not skipping 140 because that would be very stupid...Paulie skills and money wise is simply the best available opponent for Broner right now...There is no one at 135 who can even give Broner a challenge and everyone at 140 is booked so why the fukk not fight a strap holder at 147?

If Broner fights and beats Pauli, then he should defend his title against Pac... If he beats Pac he then should take Marquez title... but we know the bytch would talk him out of that because he would be forced to face the best at 147... Floyd would either retire or move back up to 154

I have come to accept this a while ago now, this is just the way it is. the marketability and star status of Mayweather, DLH, SRL, and so on and so forth wasnt built overnight. it comes from careful matchmaking and high visibility in championship fights. Broner is HBO's new cash cow. Floyd didnt always take the toughest fights, but the smartest fights. This fight makes sense for Broner. Its profitable, winnable, gives him a title in another division and only adds to marketability. If he wins a welterweight title, he should clamor for a match with Marquez.
