damn... whats this about?
Floyd was not a big Welterweight N if anything Hatton should have benefited from not having to lose an extra 7 pounds since he blew up between fights.
I want to touch on something. True, Floyd was not a big welterweight....but he is deceptively strong. Very strong in fact. Strength is something that many people dont understand when it comes to boxing. It has nothing to do with punching power either. Roy Jones has been known in fights and sparring to have devastating punching power, but at the same time, most of his opponents and sparring partners agree that he is not a particularly strong guy. Same with Oscar. Floyd has a natural strength advantage over a lot of his opponents. In fact, although Mosley lifts weights and has been known at times to have a bodybuilder physique, I dont know if he has ever been one of the strongest fighters at any weight he has fought at. Maybe average. Hatton, although he mangled a lot of fighters...is no way stronger than Floyd. When the fight began I was watching it with some folk and they were thinking Floyd was in trouble because of the way Hatton was wrestling him. I kept telling them, he is gonna tire himself out doing that before Floyd, then its gonna be a wrap. Hatton may have had a strength advantage at 140 but he didnt at 147....which shouldve been evidenced when he fought Collazo, who despite being a boxer, is very strong himself.
Strength doesnt have anything to do with how your body looks really. Jermain Taylor was a strong guy but Winky was just as strong (I believe stronger physically) although he didnt have the big punching power.

Hatton was at least a top 10 p4p dude that was undefeated (Collazo kinda exposed him, but the fight was competitive and close) Hatton also had certain attributes that would actually trouble Floyd such as his great footwork. Hatton pretty much dominated B-Level guys, its the A-level guys he struggled with. Urango landed a couple body shots that hurt Hatton but he was never really in that fight breh, but it's cool cuz you know what you saw and I know what I saw.
Hatton blows up to 200 pounds when not in camp, lets not try to act like Floyd was at a advantage fighting the so called lil Hatton, like Hatton didnt rehydrate 15-20 pounds vs Mayweather

and let me be clear so you dont think I am making excuses for Floyd....if the fight wouldve been at 140 it wouldve been the same thing. Floyd may not be much bigger than Hatton if he is bigger at all but Floyd at any weight is stronger physically than Hatton.

That was my whole point... that fight has the same out come at any weight...People try to take away frm Mayweather cuz it was at 147 N act like Floyd had Trinidad power N rehydrated into a middleweight while poor lil Ricky Hatton couldnt handle the weight![]()
I went and added showtime to my cable package after they got GBP exclusivity.
I mean just look at this schedule comparison between HBO and Showtime.

nah, if anything Floyd is the naturally smaller guy.
look while Cotto flailing away like a girl, contrary to the Hatton fight. Hatton dont have natural strength but he definitely have's fat boy strength, which is nothing to blink atRios vs. Alvarado II
