Ishe Smith @IsheSugarShay 19m

Damn I never seen a maker of a glove disrespect a fighter so bad. Donaire lost, ok that's fine, Rigo was the better man tonight.

Ishe Smith @IsheSugarShay 20m

I picked Donaire to win, but props to Rigo for taking care of business. But for someone to disrespect a fighter like that, uncalled for

what is he talking about?

funny thing is, not just nonito but robert garcia himself seemed confused, like there was no plan b. i don't know how he can come into a fight that unprepared like that.

i dont understand how nonito is really having trouble making 122, wtf is he eating. dude has only been at 122 since the vasquez fight and that was last year.i don't mind a fight with him and juanma at 126.

Nonito been looking less lean at 122. 126 and he really loses a lot of his advantages. he sounds like he is getting lazy. I think he was best at 115.

More about the Real Sports Tyson interview:

The candidness of Mike during interviews, I don't know if we'll get that type of realness again. Social media and pr reps have athletes much more sensitive about what they say, plus I don't think there are many as articulate as Mike when discussing real shyt. What he just said about his deceased daughter and how he did cocaine for a week cause he couldn't deal, I really felt that shyt. Appreciate what we get from him, cause I don't know if we'll see his like again.

of course he's been getting lazy, he doesn't even try to set anything up anymore. it's just lead left hook or counter left hook. it's been like that since the montiel fight, nonito is better than that he doesn't even jab anymore :smh: garcia in his corner doesn't do him and good.

Training over the phone'll do that to you...

Former unified world lightweight champion Juan Diaz (36-4, 18 KO’s) returned to the ring for the first time since 2010 with a sixth round TKO over Pipino Cuevas Jr. (16-10, 14 KO’s) on Saturday night at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The 29-year-old “Baby Bull” battered the son of the longtime WBA welterweight champion until the bout was waved off in round six. Time was :55.

yeah, I picked Nonito to win, not ashamed of that call. I did say if Rigo odds were better I wouldve put down on him.

Some of the excuses Nonito gave may have had some truth to them. He definitely couldve been out of focus and not in the best of shape. Doesnt mean he wouldve won though.

Even if he is at his best...his boxing ability was exposed. I expected more out of him just like Dawson against Ward. Like Dawson, he allowed his opponent to dictate what he wanted to do and him and his corner NEVER made adjustments. They really looked dumbfounded.

They rely too much on athleticism. Athleticism is easily exposed with technique and timing. Rigo did make some mistakes though, but Nonito didnt take advantage of them.

Nevertheless, there will be a rematch. It will be a long time because Nonito gonna take a break and probably let Rigo fight a couple of fights. Not sure about the 126, sounds like a setup for Nonito to get a title and coax Rigo into a CW fight.

Dude is 30. At a certain point, you're body only gets bigger, no matter what shape you're in.

the way he wasnt pulling the trigger on some of those inside shots tells me he had poor sparring. :snoop:

this is why FMJ despite all of the criticism is the best fighter in the world. his timing, his jab to the body, his will (he will press the action to distance himself), and maybe most important his "hard work and dedication" is not so cliche. the work he puts in at the gym is second to nobody.

no, you stop growing at a certain age and thats well before 30. your metabolism may slow down but Nonito at 122 looks flabby to me. not like he did at 115. some people are never lean or muscular...but when someone like him was previously and they keep moving up in weight, its not because he is getting bigger. he is eating well and probably training lighter inside and outside of camp.

Mickey Ward stayed at 140 his whole career. Hagler at 160. BHop at 160 until he moved up for more money....not because he was getting bigger...lol he was already 40!
