Dissapointed in Lamonts performance . Niqqas legs is weaker than boiled ramen noodles. A couple of the those shots barely grazed Lamont and he was flailin around like Martin trying to operate a speed buffer. Someone show this niqqa what squats are !!!

:lawd: Matthysse power is no joke man !!!

Bout to watch this Alexander fight next , Is the Mosley fight worth watching ?

That nikka Garcia had a look on his face after that fight like :upsetfavre:"damn I'm in the wrong profession" "damn i got to go through this nikka for a shot at Maynever"

I aint gone front. At some of those shots they had of Garcia, his face looked :lupe:

still, I never read too much into that. I seen fighters look like they were terrified of their opponent and commence to tearing that ass apart. Scared fighters are dangerous. Garcia would be on the top of his game because he knows what Matthysee could do to him. It could bring out the best in him. Sorry guys...I still pick Danny in a war in this one.

Garcia gonna find every possible way to duck Lucas. He shouldve fought him last time instead of Zab Judah.

I dont know if that is true. If there is a bigger fight, then yes, I would expect Danny to take it. If LM is the best fight on the table...I seriously doubt he ducks it. Danny is a guy who "appears" to me to want to be good. He is willing to prove himself to get to Mayweather I believe. the quickest way to a Mayweather match is through Matthysse.

Former WBA/IBF 140-pound ruler Amir Khan was at ringside in Atlantic City last night, and he saw the lethal punching Lucas Matthysse taking out his old foe Lamont Peterson in quite chilling style. Yet despite the power in the Argentine’s fists, Khan, when asked by Sky Sport’s head of boxing Adam Smith, said he “love to” share a ring with Matthysse.

“I’d love to,” Khan replied when asked if he’d relish the idea of a rumble with the 34-2(32) KO king. “It was the same with [Marcos] Maidana, he was knocking everyone out and I beat him. My style would definitely suit Matthysse and I’d beat him. This wants me to stay at 140. 140 is the most exciting division and though I’ve said I’m moving up to 147, I haven’t made that move yet. I want to mix it with the likes of Matthysse and Danny Garcia.”

Khan, in an earlier interview with Sky, said he hopes to have an announcement regarding his next opponent in a couple of months or so, after his upcoming wedding. The next foe for Khan was originally thought to be IBF welterweight champ Devon Alexander and this may well still be the case, but Khan said he also feels he is very close to a super-fight with Floyd Mayweather. Khan said he’d love to be able to get that mega-match in England.

But, after Matthysse’s sensational performance, and due to the richness of the 140-pound division, it might just be that Khan opts to engage in one or two more fights there. But would Khan, who has been stopped twice and dropped and wobbled a number of times during his 28-3(19) career, be able to defeat as dangerous a slugger as Matthysse? Many experts and fans list the 30-year-old interim WBC light-welterweight champ as the single hardest hitter in all of boxing.

Boxing News | Amir Khan says he’d “love to” get in ring with Lucas Matthysse, says he’s tempted to stick around at 140-pounds

Devon looked pretty sharp Purdy was game but if hes gonna fight like that he need to learn the clench, not that it would have saved him Devon is just on a different level. Not sure why they stopped though Purdy still had some more in the tank.

Can someone let me know if the Shane fight is worth watching ?

I don't see anything about Garcia's style of fighting that makes me think he can last 12 rounds with Matthysse. And Zab hurt Garcia. He never hurt Matthysse.

Bernard Hopkins also said it's not a good idea:

Hopkins said if it was up to him, he wouldn’t make the fight. He said that Garcia is “tailor made” for Matthysse, and if Garcia does want to stand toe-to-toe with Matthysse, he’s right.

It doesnt appear that way. Trust me, I am not anti-Matthysse. I am anti-hype. I just dont buy into this shyt like these promoters and networks want you to buy in to. He KOed Peterson. What that means is now....for the moment he and Garcia stand at the top above Peterson and Khan and the rest of the pack. Nothing more can be proven until he actually beats Garcia.

Its a dangerous fight for both fighters.

Think about this. If Matthysse cant get Garcia out of there and Garcia wins a decision (like Zab and Devon did) then what? Peterson still IBF champ, if Garcia wants to unify, whos to say Peterson cant beat him? Then we are back to square one.

My point is, there is no Mayweather at 140lbs. Lets take this thing one fight at a time before crowning anybody king, especially Matthysse. You getting that pumped because he KOed Peterson? Its a great accomplishment but he didnt dominate Zab or Devon so remember that. Thats not to say he hasnt gotten better, but I hate revisionists history. When Matthysse gets beat, then yall will be sayin he got exposed or point back to those two loses.

People are blinded by KOs. We dont know if this is a new LM or just the one that matched up well with LP.

Back in the late 90's there was a guy who was undefeated KTFOing everybody. The guy had unquestionable power. He was angling for a fight with another guy. The other guy wasnt knocking anybody out and had 2 losses on his resume. Well, when the guy finally met the other guy, the puncher was a 3-1 favorite....but he got KTFO by the guy who wasnt known for knocking anybody out.

If you can figure out who I am talking about, then you should also figure out that Matthysse is not in the same class as this guy.

I definitely see how you would feel that way. It doesnt look good for Garcia. Let me ask you this question though..because we tend to live in the moment and relish in what is fresh in our minds.

I dont remember reading here and seeing much talk about LM KOing Garcia until today.

Before last night, did you feel the way you feel now? He crushed Peterson...Kudos for that...but that just means that he crushed Peterson. Doesnt have anything to do with Garcia especially being that Garcia never fought Peterson.

I am just soooo anti-hype these days. LM has a ways to go before he can be viewed as another MP. If he destroys Garcia...he will be the king. I wont crown him before that though.
