Chris Mannix ‏@ChrisMannixSI 1h Richard Schaefer told me he would consider a Matthysse/Garcia headlined show in DC, with Peterson/Zab Judah on the undercard.

Zab "hurt" Garcia yet lost 9 Rounds

Zab couldn't hurt Matthysse yet won the fight:mjpls:

Matthysse is open like a motherfukker for the left hook:shaq:

yeah, thats what I mean. the power is sexy as hell....but dont fall in love with it. Zab didnt need to hurt Matthysse to win, just box. I dont know if Danny can hurt LM. He can damn sure box with him though. I dont think Matthysee walks through Danny...and if Danny takes some good shots from him, LM may get discouraged. LM can be a really good fighter but he has to realize that every fight is going to be 12 rounds and every opponent isnt going to lay down. He has to work on keeping his hands moving and winning rounds and not KO hunting.

Gary Shaw Productions has announced the finalization of a fight between IBF champion Daniel Geale (29-1, 15 KOs) and highly regarded contender Darren Barker (25-1, 16 KOs). The 12-round championship bout will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on August 17 and will be televised live on HBO.

Quite a run for Sosa, who beat ex-champ Ulises “Archie” Solis just two months ago. He now has earned the chance to face the WBC flyweight champion Akira Yaegashi.
:krs:

In a clash of unbeaten welterweights, Shawn Porter (21-0-1, 14 KOs) dropped Phil Lo Greco (25-1, 14 KOs) twice en route to a one-sided ten round unanimous decision. Lo Greco was down in rounds nine and ten. Scores 99-89, 100-88, 100-88.
Had no idea he even fought...

In the opening bout of the evening, former 2012 US Olympian Jamel Herring (3-0, 2KOs) needed only a hundred twenty one seconds to dispose of an outgunned lightweight Victor Galindo (1-2), dropping him twice en route to the first round stoppage.

Junior welterweight Anthony Peterson, the Younger brother of Lamont Peterson, moved to 32-1, 21 KOs with a two round demolition of Dominic Salcido (18-5, 8KOs).

Amir Khan’s brother, bantamweight Haroon Khan (2-0, 1 KO) needed just 57 seconds to dispatch no-hoper Vincente Medellin (0-6)

Three time Olympian and undefeated bantamweight sensation Rau’Shee Warren (4-0, 2KO) continued to look impressive as a professional, dropping Angel Carvajal (2-2)an incredible six times en-route to the fourth round TKO victory.

Former 2012 British Olympian Anthony Ogogo (2-0, 1 KO) won his first fight on US soil with a workmanlike six round unanimous decision victory over middleweight Edgar Perez (5-5, 3 KOs) by scores of 60-54 x 2 and 60-53 respectively.

other action....no links as of yet, though I really only wanna see what Sergio Thompson did on the undercard of Mosley/Cano

Cunningham: Alexander Broke Left Hand in First Round - Boxing News
By Ryan Burton

Devon Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham has advised BoxingScene.com that his fighter broke his left hand in the first round of his TKO victory over Lee Purdy last night in Atlantic City.

After the first round it was obvious that something was wrong with Alexander's left hand as he began to use his right hand almost exclusively. Between rounds Cunningham could be heard telling his fighter to at least feint and paw with his left hand to keep his opponent off balance.

In the post fight interview Alexander said that his left hand was hurt but didn't know the extent of the injury. Cunningham said that tomorrow they will find out how long Alexander will be on the shelf.

The tentative plan is for the IBF welterweight champion to face former unified junior welterweight champion Amir Khan in December. Alexander is also in the running to be Floyd Mayweather's next opponent.
Damn that sucks.......If Paulie Loses, and Alexander is out......Canelo may be the only option left :ooh:

dude swings to wide and does not have enough skill to keep him off of him.

There is a couple things I seen from Lucas that I liked.

I definitely see how you would feel that way. It doesnt look good for Garcia. Let me ask you this question though..because we tend to live in the moment and relish in what is fresh in our minds.

I dont remember reading here and seeing much talk about LM KOing Garcia until today.

Before last night, did you feel the way you feel now? He crushed Peterson...Kudos for that...but that just means that he crushed Peterson. Doesnt have anything to do with Garcia especially being that Garcia never fought Peterson.

I am just soooo anti-hype these days. LM has a ways to go before he can be viewed as another MP. If he destroys Garcia...he will be the king. I wont crown him before that though.

Garcia gonna have problems in that fight only because he tends to want to exchange. Can Danny simply box, box, box for 12 rounds? We'll see
