This is low-key feeling like a buildup to a Canelo vs Ward showdown. Just feels too convenient. And we know ward been training on the low. Once canelo leaves plant face down ass up the whole boxing world is gonna be screaming for that fight. This is all for the optics. Ward is just sacrificing plant for the greater cause
And canelo just did an interview where they asked him about ward training plant and he said "it's no problem. It's only gonna be me and him in the ring. But if they both get in the ring I still don't have a problem"
This is the first we seen canelo actually acknowledge ward like that. They're doing some WWE type buildup right now. The only problem is that Virgil Hunter already said he would never let ward fight canelo without a couple tuneups first. So who knows. But all this shyt just feels scripted to me. shyt would be lit though

Wasn’t it rumors that Ward had an insurance payout and that if fought before would have to pay it back..I doubt Canelo will pay him that much to make it worth it.
Yea with Lloyds of London, it headed to arbitration but I can't find details of the settlement, pretty sure the argument was that the injury ended his career. Never understood why that isn't acknowledged when people start getting themselves wrapped up in comeback fights.
those lloyds of london policies...you cant fukk around with those if they are paying out...there was a cat who was in ward's circle or knew his business on here that revealed that ward filed those papers because of the injuries

Ward is 37 years old with a well paying job as a boxing analyst so he gets regular attention too, doesn't strike me as one of those fighters who would come back, he seems content.

I don't think that Canelo seeks him out or that it would be such a huge interest for the fight anyway.
SOG was one of my favorites but he was never abig draw, his Kovalev fights did pretty bad when Kovalev was still at the peak of his notoriety, don't think that so much money would be behind Canelo vs Ward that a huge industry push would be behind it and the kind of money Ward can't say no to.
Canelo is usually pretty serious about his business too, I'm assuming he just gonna keep on seeking out active fighters who hold a belt or hold other intrigue to him and won't seek out a 37 years old Ward who's been retired for 4+ years
