The World Boxing Commission seems to be adamant that current WBC/WBA unified champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez not be allowed to keep two belts and must choose to be either WBC champion or WBA champion. Canelo wants to keep both titles. Eddy Reynoso, Director of Canelo Promotions, has communicated that position to WBC President Jose Sulaiman and Canelo is planning to visit WBA Headquarters in Panama to be presented with the WBA belt tomorrow.

Currently the WBC accepts that Danny Garcia holds both the WBC and WBA belts at 140lbs and Andre Ward held the WBC/WBA belts at 168lbs until being stripped due to injuries.

in the early rounds...that shyt is nothing short of poetry in motion. its not his fault that after the 3rd or 4th rounds his opponents fall into a pattern of helplessness then things become repetitive. people would rather see Floyd stop moving and take a shot on the chin for free like Mayorga.

when RJJ wasnt knocking people out they said the same thing about him. people that watch boxing want to see competitive matches. they dont want to see lopsided repetitiveness. a Canelo fight would be no different...so why does everyone want to see it if Floyd is so boring? why does he still lead in PPV buys even if his last didnt do 1 million?

the same people that say Floyd is boring are at the arena saying "I shouldve stayed home and watched on tv"??? why watch it at all if its boring? why watch Floyd vs. Guerrero of all his fights? people be talkin that shyt but somebody watchin this nikka fight.

anyone who saw the showtime all access epilogue saw floyd sr stop even giving advice after round 3 or 4 and just told money to go have fun

Miguel Canto was a damn good flyweight......Chan Hee just got to him when he was old :smugbiden:

dude was a rarity...a defensive minded mexican fighter and not much a puncher...but like @SuikodenII said he got old (for a flyweight) by the time park got to him and didn't have the power to bail him out in his later fights

No doubt. Flyweight had some damn good fighters that got and still get overlooked from back in the day. Bet Chan-Hee got mad p*ssy off them two fights with Canto tho :jayelec:

Former world champion Felix Sturm (37-3-2, 16 KOs) will face unbeaten IBF #4 middleweight Predrag Radosevic (27-0, 9 KOs) on July 6 at Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany in an IBF world middleweight title eliminator. Sturm currently ranked third by the IBF. SAT.1 will broadcast the bout live in Germany. “After the annulment of my last fight against Soliman, I’m only looking forward now. My definite goal is to get back to the top – I want to become world champion again and I have set my sights only on that. When I beat Radosevic, I will be the IBF’s mandatory challenger. That will be my chance to get the belt back from Daniel Geale,” Sturm said.

honestly, i'd be surprised if frochs team and hearn took a hopkins fight over a bute, pascal rematch or a 3rd fight with kessler or even a dawson-stevenson winner. there's much better option$ than hopkins whose damn near at 50 is still a high risk fight.

i wonder why froch hasn't thought about fighting cleverly at 175, im sure that would be a huge seller in the uk.

Hopkins fight brings name value and big money, who else can bring that for Froch. If Cleverly wants Froch that bad then Cleverly can come down. Cleverly standin still and is about to lose his fight with Hopkins to Froch after goin on about it for nearly 2 years that he wanted to father time. Froch is a natural 168 he walks around only a few lbs over that. Cleverly would have the weight advantage come fight night of anything of 10+lbs.

Speaking of which, what about George Groves or Nathan Cleverly next for Carl Froch, both guys seem to be left out of the conversation and they're RIGHT THERE in the UK :patrice:

Oh and Tony Bellew is now the mandatory for Chad Dawson/Stevenson winner...

Groves aint ready yet, he hasnt fought anyone of note at 168. Let him fight a couple of the contenders 1st before gettin a Froch fight, regardless of where the rankings have Groves.

Cleverly should be more worried about fightin the people at his weight, its not like he dont have a stack of people who he can fight. :pacspit: Warren, keep that c*nt out of the picture.

A Froch/Cleverly and a Froch/Groves fights would be big and entertaining. Froch got options for real.

They would be great fights, but they need Froch more than Froch needs them. This is the Calzaghe/Froch siutation all over again. The star wants big big fights at the backend of his career the up and comers want the big name but havent really done anything to get that fight apart from being from the same realm.

:childplease: Ward will dominate Froch again

Ward has been injured alot who knows how much prime he still has left, good fight, no forgone conclusion in this one, lets not act like Ward put on a BHOP or Mayweather type dominating performance in the first fight with his holding ass
