Where exactly did you heard this ?

I've heard Doug Fischer mention this more than once as well as other boxing sites at the time saying Margarito looked bad in camp preparing for Shane. I've never heard of Margarito getting the beats from sparring partners until that fight. I heard he looked worse preparing for Shane than he did for Clottey and he had an injury going into that fight. Looking at things from that perspective I can understand why he tried to cheat against Mosley. People can be skeptical about his fights before that, but we'll never no for sure.

Floyd earned it, Canelo did bring up a catch to team Mayweather, the young boy got caught up on his word thinking he was in a power position dictating shyt to floyd, and lets not act like he a creer MW, its no different from Manny fighting ODH at 147, then Cotto at 145 but no fuss at all...................

I'm all about calling a spade a spade. Pacquiao's situation with Oscar was different though because Oscar was the one who set the weight, not Pacquiao. Pac's team were apprehensive at 1st taking the fight and they were already mentioning a 140lb fight before the Oscar fight became a reality. Oscar set it at 147 and even then Pac came in at 142. I can understand the Cotto fight and me being a Cotto fan I wasn't feeling the catchweight, but just like with Canelo now, if Cotto said he could make 145 then it was on him at the end of the day.

To me, a more sensible answer and something that I think probably could've made a win for Floyd that much better is if he did flat out and say 154 is tough for me, but I'm taking this fight anyway because the fans want it and I want it. Instead, he brings Pacquiao up as what he did (at least with Cotto) is different than what he's doing with Canelo? Remember, Pac was also coming up in weight from 140 (where he weighed 138) and fought Cotto next fight weighing 144. There's really not much of a difference between both scenarios, I just think people are riding along with the fact that Floyd has all the pull in negotiations and that should be able to call the shots. I just don't find that to be a good excuse if the comparison is made with Pacquiao. But nevertheless, as I've said, 152lbs is fine with me. I'm not really complaining.

So you are gonna act like Mayweather said he wont fight up at 154 post Cotto:yeshrug:

you aint hearing what i'm saying
if your in a fist fight with someone and that person punches you in the face with brass knuckles, is it not gonna effect the rest of the fight?:aicmon:
cotto was getting caught so much because he was HURT
he was HURT because he was getting hit with concrete
the later it went in the fight, the harder the plaster got.
if margarito didn't have that in his gloves, i doubt he could even hurt cotto
which again, changes the whole fight
shane mosley had cheato looking like a welterweight version of peter mc neely in their fight:krs:

nikka lost all of his remaining fights when he didn't have loaded gloves and eventually said fukk it and retired cause he knew he wasn't shyt without him

oh my bad, he lost 3 of his last 4 fights. he beat robert garcia in mexcio, and he couldn't even knock him down:heh: dis nikkas punching power just vanished,i wonda why

um breh margarito did KD garcia in that fight..in the first round..watch that fight again

He mentioned weeks after the Cotto fight though that he would prefer fights at Welterweight but wouldn't rule out 154lbs either when they mentioned Martinez and Canelo to him (not the interview in his gym prior to the Cotto fight). He was on some radio show talking about it. Over the years, I've learned to take what Floyd says with a grain of salt. That's not to say he's always full of sh*t, I just think he sorta puts his foot in his mouth sometimes. In the end though, as far as Canelo is concerned, as Boxing fans, this is what we wanted and we got it.

I aint gonna act like Floyd aint being a slickster here. He shouldve told the dude 154 and been done with it. Canelo weigh in at 153.5 most of the time anyway....152 and 154 is no difference UNLESS there is a no-rehydration clause. If there is....Floyd full of shyt. If there isnt, then I dont see what the difference is....dude still gonna rehydrate to 165-168.

its like Ward said....its negotiation 101. Dawson came to him (Dawson needing the fight more) and said 168. Ward said bet. If Canelo and his people said we want the fight and we want it at 152 (since we know u aint doin 154) then you cant accuse Floyd of demanding a catchweight. Its the same as Dawson-Ward except Dawson had to weigh in a weight class lower...Canelo....1.5 lbs less than his last fight.

Again, to re-iterate....if there is a re-hydration clause, this is all acedemic.

a source reporting a $12 mil loss for Showtime on the Guerrero fight. I am sorry, I been meaning to get this off my chest but that Ghost gun incident is fishy as hell. I mean, they were doing all the could to promote the fight. How the fukk this dude get charges dropped? You about to make $3 million and may not get another substantial payday after that and you bring a gun to the airport? Gotta be the stupidest :putamadre: ever.
