Just reminiscing a little about the hype up for Oscar vs Mayweather, I remember how big the lead up to that fight was People came out in herds to see this fight. Bars were beyond packed, fight parties galore, etc. But halfway through the fight most people were . I personally enjoy watching Floyd fight but even I felt a little bamboozled

Now with Canelo, it seems like a lot of people are genuinely excited (I am as well) as if this is Floyd's best fight in years. But the more coverage and or insight I see in this fight, nobody is giving Canelo a chance in hell .

A friend of mine tells me yesterday, "Man I was really excited for Mayweather vs Canelo. But I thought about it for a day and........ Canelo ain't beating Floyd man". I hope it's overall a really good fight, but I can't get passed a Floyd UD.

No but Canelo and Mayweather were forced to change their grant gloves because they had a plastic coating near the thumb area that could cause cuts and injuries, and Lara also had on Grant gloves, whther or not they had the coating who knows, I expect cmmotion in the next few days regarding this whether or not he used the glove though to further discredit the win, Lara is not sexy to ODH, and he damn sure didnt deserve that fluke victory

no...I dont think that is the assumption. I think people may be saying his thumb was detatched.

Angulo says Lara was thumbing him repeatedly on purpose. (respect for Angulo going back out the window). he said the ref stopped it without seeing what was wrong...and he didnt quit. I didnt say he quit, but he cant pin this on the ref either. When you walk away and not defend yourself...the ref has every right to stop it.

I dont think you can hit someone hard enough with your thumb to break their face....without doing serious damage to your thumb.

Thumbs on the glove shatter orbital bones all the time breh, as weird as that sounds. If if watch the video the very last shot Lara hit Ang with was a slapping type of chop and Ang turned his back instantly from that

As far as thumb injuries naw, your thumb is separated from all the other fingers in gloves, even if you throw a slap or half open fisted punch your thumb is usually on the other side and protected from that

I would expect thumbs to do damage to the eye itself but not enough to break a bone around it unless lara got some strong ass thumbs lol...it was a punch that fukked angulo up

I member on Saturday watching the instant replay... Angulo had a lil lump got hit with the final punch N that shyt turned into a water balloon instantly....never seent a thumb in the eye do that shyt...N Lara got decent pop when he sits on his punches a few times he rocked Angulo

I was rooting for Angulo during the fight but you gotta give Lara props tho fighting a dude that rehydrated to a light hvy weight...who gave constant pressure N a relentless body attack I can think of a certain fighter that woulda crumbled N took a knee from all that

All the excuse making N down playing of Lara leads me to believe GBP wanted/still wants Angulo vs Cotto....Lara isn't a draw but is dangerous they need to find him a belt at 154 N jus let him fight mandos for a while

Id say let him go after the wbo or ibf 154 champs...the wbo champ Baysangurov is a scrub...he was one punch ko'ed by k9..nuff said about him.....ibf champ well lara better hope that ishe wins that one because im sure he don't want to see carlos molina again

Canelo would dismantle Lara and so would Cotto, Lara is another fighter who I said wasnt shyt, he backs up into straight lines with his hands constantly down, only has one good punch and that punch doesn't have KO or even knockdown power, nikka better better thanking the heavens, nikka got saved in 2 back to back fights IMO

I wouldn't say lara doesn't have power breh...he has sneaky power in his left hand....you take a look at his record...in 18 fights he has 12 ko's..9 of them are in the first round...that's pretty damned good

Angulo always has some bad luck, it seems...in & out of the ring.

And some funny shyt always seems to happen when Lara's in the ring. He's like a WWE wrestler personality.

Yeah Lara ain't feather fisted. Dude has decent power because he punches correctly and most of his shots have good snap on them and he turns them over instead of just pushing them out at the target. Lara is similar to Clottey in that aspect. Both throw good sharp accurate punches, but lack the killer instinct to really step it up when needed in order to get the most out of their shots.

The way Lara struggled with Angulo, it kinda makes you appreciate the way Kirkland handled dude when he fought him in Mexico. Dude got dropped, got up and proceeded to dish out that work.
