IMO Crawford is the most talented lightweight for sure and possibly the best because I am not counting Broner...unless he indeed returns to lightweight. I dont think he will, but I could be wrong. I think if he beats Paulie then he will keep the WW title and at the very least explore his options at 140.
So with that being said...you have Gamboa, Abril, Vasquez and Burns. None of those guys teams are going to put them in the ring with Crawford. Too much risk vs reward at this moment. If they did....I pick him to beat them all. There is absolutely no reason for Broner to fight Crawford...but for the sake of assumption....I call that a pick em fight. My money would be on Crawford though since he would be the underdog.
I dont think Crawford has much of a future at 135 though....the division is already weak and full of
First let me say that he hasn't earned the right to be named alongside the top 135 guys just yet, he's talented and is a top 10/15 guy but an eccentric Max Kellerman rub and HBO hype endorsement means little to me. Dan and Max were going back n forth on twitter about it

I'll re-watch the fight sometime this week and see where I place him, but for now...
But let's take a look at 135...
-Adrien Broner (WBC)........fighting at 147 against Paulie next week. Win or lose, which weight class he fights in next is up in the air at this point.
-Miguel NyQuil (IBF).........received an offer from Gamboa, Hearn wants him in against Burns in September, has a IBF ordered rematch with Ammeth Diaz he can accept or decline and drop the belt. In other words, he's busy
-Ricky Burns (WBO).........Rees/Crolla winner could potentially be named an eliminator, still unclear and that would be a mandatory challenger. He and Abril are in unification talks RIGHT NOW.
-Richar Abril (WBA)..........see above
-Antonio DeMarco..........completely MIA, Jorge Linares wants a rematch but who knows. Last I heard he turned down Gamboa who took on Perez. Nothing on the horizon.
-Raymundo Beltran (NABF).........now working with Angel Heredia

Nothing on the horizon.
-Gavin Rees.........facing Anthony Crolla 6/29, winner could be next in line for a WBO title shot (Ricky Burns)
-Sharif Bogere.......Coming off disappointing showing against Abril. Nothing on the horizon.
-Yuriokis Gamboa (interim WBA)........coming off 'meh' showing against Perez, that's 2 in a row and hasn't looked the same since initially moving up in weight. In talks with Miguel Vazquez in the recent past, but nothing currently on the horizon.
-Denis Shafikov (WBC Baltic, lol).........moved down and dominated Rahimov, nothing currently on the horizon
-Kevin Mitchell........struggles outside the ring with family/drinking may now be behind him, he's back with his old trainer and has a fight lined up with a no-name on 7/6.
-Paulus Moses (WBO int'nat'l).........outpointed Baloyi and stopped Fana, nothing currently on the horizon.
-Daniel Estrada (WBC silver).........came out of nowhere to upset Arakawa EASY, nothing currently on the horizon.
-Hank Lundy.......Coming off consecutive loses (Beltran then Postol). Is he 135 or 140? Don't know but, nothing on the horizon.
-Ammeth Diaz......see Vazquez/NyQuil

all that typing
