Im throwing some coli cash on Bombardero

i agree, but he definitely impressed me in the trout fight, didn't expect that performance from him.
i might be the only one, but for some reason this fight reminds me alot of taylor-hopkins 1. alot of people wrote taylor off, including myself, thought he was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over his head and couldn't win this fight cause of being inexperienced. same with canelo. i really believe if this fight is close, expect some controversy.

Miguel Cotto vs Sergio Martinez in the works according to Martinez, I wonder how this plays out since HBO vs Showtime, Cotto isn't technically a GB fighter though, let see how this plays out
Cotto makes easy work of Serg he learned his lesson by trying to spark a fighter bigger than him, he'll pum the jab and continue the exposal Chavez and Murray started. Cotto finally about to get that career defining win![]()
you're my breh @SuikodenII but you and I and the rest of the other brehs in here know that jhonny is getting ko'ed..still going to be an entertaining fight
that doubleheader though...showtime does it again
To Cotto's benefit, Martinez's left hand probably won't be a big factor as it was in previous fights but I can't fathom a Middleweight version of Cotto let alone he's not a real Jr Middleweight. This is probably Cotto's best shot to beat Martinez, but I don't see it being easy work at all. Martinez ain't perfect but he'll fight and Cotto still gasses late.

fukk you talking about breh did I hear gassing as a concern for Cotto but not Sergio the guy known for taking the middle of fights off leaving himself in hotly contested brawls with C Class fighters
Martinez has shown he has no answer for a jab, even lowly ones like Murray slow telegraphed ass displayed and he still had no answer, couple that with Cotto's ability to cut off the ring(far better than Chavezs), Serg will be breathing fumes by 6 eating jabs.
All Cotto has to do is not foolishly rush into Sergio, stay close but out of his punching distance and cause him to back up constantly, or lung in, Cotto will then see Serg only has 2 punches a jab and a straight, and uses the same bullshyt ass predictable one one two that the great Manny fell in love with earlier and latter in his career. Cotto needs a general to help with the strategy though Diaz(who he dropped) is good but his in ring advice is lacking, he needs a Roach, Garcia or Bro Nazeem who helped in the Marg 2 match to keep him focused on the gameplan...................................
I highly doubt it, but I'll be cheering Cotto on.But we can't talk about Cotto like it's 2007-2008. I'm an admitted Cotto stan and will outright admit he does gas and 2nd guesses his shots. He did it with Trout, Floyd, Pacquiao, even in some parts in the 2nd Margarito fight. Cotto's best shot right now is Martinez is older, showing signs of decline, broken left hand w/ out an apparent tune up before facing Cotto. Martinez himself knows he's reaching the end and he wants to cash out. Martinez can be hurt by bigger guys, but I don't see Cotto's left hook to the body coming out of retirement and or his shots really being powerful against a legit Middleweight. Can he outbox Sergio for 12 rounds and not get hit?I highly doubt it, but I'll be cheering Cotto on.

Former two-time welterweight titlist Andre Berto has hired a new trainer -- 2011 trainer of the year Virgil Hunter -- and has been working out with him at his Oakland, Calif.-area gym for the past few weeks.
"I know I have all the talent in world. Now it's time to fine-tune the skill set," Berto told ESPN.com. "Virg is someone I've known since I was a kid, along with a few other coaches I went to interview. I wanted stick with familiar faces that I've had that relationship with and that have watched me from the amateur system [until] now. We're testing things out with this fight and seeing where things go. As of right now, I've been having a great camp. I am excited."
Berto's first fight with Hunter will come July 27 in the main event of a Showtime-televised card at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. Berto (28-2, 22 KOs) will face battle-tested veteran Jesus Soto Karass (27-8-3, 17 KOs).
Berto will try to rebound from a clear decision loss in November in an interim title bout against Robert Guerrero, who dropped him twice in a fairly dominant performance. That fight came after Berto had been out of the ring for 14 months, largely because of a failed random prefight drug test in the lead-up to a rematch with Victor Ortiz.
The loss to Guerrero was Berto's second defeat in his past three fights, including a decision loss that cost him his world title against Ortiz in April 2011 (although he bounced back and won a belt against Jan Zaveck). After the loss to Guerrero, Berto parted ways with career-long trainer Tony Morgan. They had been together for nearly 20 years, including Berto's amateur career that culminated with a berth on the 2004 Haitian Olympic team.
There was chaos in Berto's corner during his losses, and it was obvious that a change had to be made -- not to mention the fact that Berto, 29, needs to improve defensively.
Berto hopes that Hunter will be the man to help him. The fighter said that before hiring Hunter he got the blessing from the trainer's main client, super middleweight champion Andre Ward.
"I had to give my good friend Dre Ward a call, and he also gave me a lot of input and direction," Berto said. "He's one that loves his privacy. But he also gave me his blessing with open arms. We've known each other since our teenage years, so it feels great joining the camp. I am in the Bay Area now training with Virg. Actually, I made the decision about a month ago."

A few days ago, BoxingScene.com reported that junior middleweight contender James Kirkland had been arrested for assault in Austin, Texas. The boxer was taken to the Travis County Jail and held on $5,000 bail.
According to official police documents obtained by BoxingScene.com, on June 15th there was an incident between Kirkland and his girlfriend of two years, Frances Diane Campbell. The two of them were hanging out with friends and drinking at a night club off of East 12th street.
Apparently Campbell became angry with Kirkland for checking out another woman [the mother of his child] at the night club. Campbell, who felt disrespected, asked Kirkland to step outside of the night club and the two of them would proceed to argue. They exchanged words and left together in a car to go home.
During the car ride, they once started arguing and Campbell tells police that Kirkland allegedly grabbed her by the neck. Campbell, who was driving, pulled over in the parking lot of a local CVS Pharmacy and the alleged physical confrontation continued. She told police that Kirkland once again grabbed her by the neck. In order to calm him down, Campbell says she was forced to apologize.
Once the second argument finished and they went home, Campbell ran upstairs in fear of further violence and called the police. Upon arriving to her house, the police were told by Campbell that Kirkland caused pain and discomfort, but he did not strangle her hard enough to cut off the path of air.
Police found a 5-6 inch scratch to the front of her neck and finger nail/finger prints on the back, left and right side of her neck.
Kirkland is still involved in an ongoing legal battle to break his promotional contract with Golden Boy Promotions and his managerial agreement with Cameron Dunkin/Michael Miller. He was last seen in the ring in March 2012, winning by way of a controversial disqualification over Carlos Molina.
In 2009, Kirkland was arrested on a widely reported firearm charge. He was sent to prison and released in September of 2010.

nikkas need to stop with the Canelo impressed vs Trout bullshyt he won 4 clear rounds thats it
How can you make an assessment on a fighter from a fight 66% of boxing experts felt he lost, a fight where vanilla ass Trout had to abandon his jab and come in reckless because of the open scoring bullshyt which caused him to get knockdown, a fight where Canelo fat ass was sucking wind after 2 like it was his first time in the gym, a fight where the ginger resorted to getting on his bycyle after getting his head boxed off because he knew he would be awarded round after round and the decision no matter what..............
It's all good Floyd and Canelo weight difference isnt as much as televised according to the pics, the ginger would get his soon![]()

Canelo a smart dude... he had to make the fight look close like it could go either way or else you know damn well Floydie wouldn't have wanted no parts of ginger.. funny is I think Pac tried that same shyt with Bradley and it backfired. .. but the difference was that for some reason in the canelo/trout fight they were able to see the judges scores for every round... why you think canelo fell back them last few rounds being much less active...
