True, but I think its more because the dudes on the bottom row were High Risk, Low Reward fights for Floyd. Those 2 fights he had with Castillo changed Floyd's mindset on "Matchmaking". Never took a High Risk, Low Reward fight since that point

That’s the point. Boxing is a business. It didn’t make sense for dudes on the top row to fight the guys on the bottom row.

This isn’t a Floyd thing, this applies to Mosley and Cotto as well.

Now, I do believe Mayweather vs Margarito should have happened at some point in their careers.

:scust: How did your boy lose to Quintana though? You think it was the hairstyle?
i mean we talked about this lol...it might be...quintana was always capable of pulling upsets..but whats upsetting to me is he cleanly outboxed punisher...i couldn't even be like bullshyt.,.thankfully he righted the wrong

Every time Carlos stepped up, he got put down.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing in real time.

This may sound silly, but i wasn’t really satisfied with the rematch. It didn’t really answer my questions. Was it an “off night,” or could he truly not deal with Quintana’s boxing ability?

We’ll never know. Seems like the gameplan may have been just to knock him out, because he couldn’t deal with him

Homie had a real problem with southpaws.

i mean i was....quintana didnt belong in the ring with the punisher...there was no bullshyt going on..he hurt him early and got him up outta there

i mean mitchell and winky were southpaws and he beat the holy hell outta them...but they were long in the tooth..not like sergio or lara or quintana

Have to disagree, a prime Roy was hurt and dropped by Lou devlle (sp?). Timing is key, especially dealing with speed. Lou wasnt a slouch. SOG would be a live dog. Roy got a bit lazy protecting himself at times.
Del Valle was a big LHW & a southpaw with good power. But still, there's nothing in SOG's arsenal that Roy hasn't seen or couldn't negate, especially at 68 where Roy was damn near not even getting hit lol

2nd fight yeah but he was giving Roy hell in that first fight

True that, it was nip and tuck majority of their 1st fight. But what I couldn't stand was Griffin pretending to play dead when Roy hit him while he was on his knees, cause he knew he could get an easy DQ lol

Disgusting :scust:

I do feel at 168, SOG has no chance, because at 160/168, Roy was at his ultimate peak. But I feel at 175 SOG does have a shot because Roy was slightly less invincible at 175 and SOG would be able to have some advantages with Roy. Even though I do feel Roy would win anyway
