that's why he was dikkriding that entire fight week and fight night

shyt was sickening listening to him slurp Dana hoe ass

I'm probably in the extreme minority, but I never liked Max Kellerman. Always thought he was pretentious and always ruins the moment with his odd random thoughts. To me, Roy Jones Jr and Lampley had the GOAT chemistry, probably one of the greatest ever in all of sports. And Max just felt out of place to me. Like so many times, Roy and Lampley would be talking and in a groove about the fight, then Max Kellerman would but in like

"Well this fight does remind me when Jack Dempsey refused to go in the corner against Gene Tunney, which ultimately cost him the fight. The parallels are enormous"

Like gahdamn, who gives a fukk. I think people automatically liked Max Kellerman because he replaced Larry Merchant, which won him alot of fans lol

He’s better as a studio commentator. I would rather he have a pre fight show and post fight show. His in fight commentary is limited but he’s like Bill Simmons in they have great recollection of the history and do well in less structured formats.

Look at this here. PBC actively ducked Bud for 5 years, creating an entire imaginary side of the street. Then have the audacity to claim "Bud had the easier route and somehow LET the PBC fighters beat up on each other"
Hating on Bud in 2025 is diabolical. Them types are clearly on the wrong side of history and not to be taken seriously as the vast majority of knowledgeable folks properly rate Bud as an ATG
Bud himself , the guy who was involved in all those negotiations, got on the mic after he ended the career of Spence and explicitly explained what happened.
I mean Spence literally told people they weren't allowed to fight the guy at that time, what is there to even debate? All this been discussed ad nauseum tho, it's not even that interesting anymore since Bud is clearly LEVELS above them nikkas
The irony of arguing that the PBC guys beat up on each other is that if they were allowed to fight Bud a lot of their careers would have got derailed prematurely. Al knew that and preserved the bag for as long as possible

Yall sound naive like yall don’t understand the business of boxing. Boxing is a business first. Why are yall acting like dumb naive fans?

PBC had all the relevant WWs. As a fighter, if he wanted access to their stable, that’s who you sign with. Fighters go where the action is, whether that is going to a specific weight class or signing with a promoters for certain fights. This is the game, whether you like it or not.

Shane signed with Top rank to get the Pac fight. It is what it is. Crawford never showed that kind of assertiveness until the end of his career.

When Crawford signed an extension with Top Rank back in 2018, a few of us were like :what:. We already went over this, in real time.

That was like the equivalent of Stevenson signing with PBC/Showtime when the fight was there to be made with Kovalev.

And then Crawford acts silly in the media like he doesn’t know the ramifications of extending with Top Rank. Cmon bruh

In the end it all worked out. He made a lot of money while minimizing risk. If you can’t see that you weren’t analyzing his moves in real time. He was hustling the game.

superman had a fire 2013 and basically did nothing after it when he went over to pbc until the division caught up with him on the pbc side in terms of competitiveness in his last 2 fights

He basically pulled a Bud, just with a different promoter. He wanted to chill and just take easy fights on PBC. Same shyt Bud did with Top Rank.

Superman’s underwhelming run on PBC is basically how I view Crawfords entire career on top rank

Yall gonna say Superman was being blackballed by HBO fighters? :jbhmm: Or do yall suddenly recognize it’s a business and understand why HBO, Kkk, and Ward weren’t “interested” in him?
