Does anyone know how Keith Thurman leap frogged Ortiz to get the WBC title shot against Fundora?
There is a path to unifying 3 of the belts by late 2026, but in that path Ortiz still wouldn't get a title shot. If titles are the requirement for Ortiz vs Boots we need a lot to go right (ie: no rematches) and probably wouldn't get that fight until early 2027

Realistically Virgil Fundora should have been the fight happening this yr/Jan (with the Fundora injury). They could have done an Errol comeback as Co-Main and set up winners if they really wanted that to happen.
This is why I`m like Boots just needs to focus on belts, because it will expose what Golden Boy is really doing and Virgil won't even be remembered.
