Tony's brain is scrambled eggs at this point.
Still, Tony sonned that dummy so fukking bad in the press conference, that he lost all his speech patterns and motor skills.

As in, he was so embarrassed from the Detroit scalding and snapping ability, that he couldn’t talk at all.

Special moment in boxing history. What a loser.:mjlol::yeshrug:

never thought I'd see women's boxing moving the needle like that to get an ESPN deal, I just can't get into it like that. Besides the lack of power/KOs, the same rythm/cadence round after round gets boring.

I rather Shakur go after big fights that naturally would come about. Going after Ryan seems manufactured. I don't want him to be another Haney where he flies too close to the sun trying to be a household name, and falls victim to Ryan Garcia's circus

Maybe he sees his big bro Bud not get his recognition until later in his career and wants the opposite. But Shakur should just chase legacy fights that will eventually turn into big fights. Him vs Abdullah Mason in 2 years would be a huge fight. A fight with Gary Antoine Russell would be big. Shakur getting Undisputed and cleaning up 135 and 140 would matter more than chasing Ryang Garcia

I hear you fam but I think you have to keep in mind that Shakur can fight Ryan and STILL clean out 140. listen, 140 is no walk in the park, even for Shakur. Puello is one of my top fighters and he is a handful. I wouldnt mind seeing him and GAR but tbh I think Hirioka presents a more difficult matchup for Shakur. Ryan just isnt that good as his name and talent suggests beating Barrios doesnt change that for me. I think Debo, Afrika, GAR, Puello all present a tougher fight than Ryan. who are we kidding, Ryan not going to fight Shakur now anyway. He wants Debo or Rollie and he is such a cash cow, I could see him snatching Xander right off Debo plate.

breh....I have said it many times here, I am not a fan of women's boxing for different reasons though. I just dont like seeing women getting beat up even if by another woman lol. I did tune in to watch Perkins because I knew she would beat that girl. Clarissa has helped progress the sport but the theatrics is a bit much. I dont like it as it is in mens boxing. I will say on a bittersweet note, I am glad woman are getting paid and was able to get that ESPN deal because otherwise I dont care for MVP

I remember those struggle nights...I cannot romanticize that guy's career...he was death at the box office bro lol. You know what's funny is i thought he beat valuev..like clear as day both times but politics got that belt off him for good.

Vs Oquendo is literally one of the worst HW fights I ever watch..so much it ended in a mercy stoppage lol. And he lost to Golota IMO.

Ruiz was horrible to watch. I just have to separate that aspect from how tough of a fighter he actually was for guys.

Jermell needs to try and get ranked, he wants the easy way in but in boxing it dont work that way if your name isnt big enough. his just isnt...mainly because he hasnt fought in 3 years. with all the names in and around 154....he is just too much risk vs reward. is he afraid of 160?

Random but whenever yall discuss weight classes…how do yall generally classify it?

Example do yall say

130, Junior lightweight, or Super featherweight ?

I go by the number for everything except LH, Cruiser, and Heavy for the reason you just gave.

Depending on the org 154 it's either Super-welter (WBA and WBC) or Jr-middle (IBF and WBO) . Just seems easier to say 154 :yeshrug:

Maybe he's going the SOG route. Fight, get the acclaim, retire early/mid 30s instead of late 30s. If that's the case, then fighting Garcia is what's best.

With that said, as good as Garcia looked a couple of weeks ago, we still have to take into consideration who he fought, and because of that, it's only so much credit that I'm willing to give him. He's still not that fukkin' good. He's the US version of Conor Benn. He's a name. That's it.

It's easy to land the right hand against someone with no upper body movement. So I ain't about to go crazy over a punch that he doesn't usually throw and call it a new wrinkle or whatever the fukk people wanna call it because his target was about as stationary as a fukkin' fencepost.

Shakur still mops the floor with Garcia. shyt wouldn't be any different than the Lopez fight.

Dude wasting his career that Nelo money stretches far in Texas. Yeah dude should get in the mix plenty of people he could fight Tim KAZOOO, Jeff Horn, Bakir, Rashidi Ellis, Danny Garcia(if he's still fighting), Abas, Giovani Santillan, Brandon Adams or he needs to move to 160 there's plenty of work up there.

I say the weight, less confusion. if I do give the name, I go with the junior variation, mainly because most bodies use that. only the WBC uses the Super variation.

sn: its always an interesting topic because I think it provides a mental note. half empty/full type thing. if you say Super WW, thats denoting that a fighter is too big for WW. if you say junior MW, it is viewed as someone not big enough for MW.

I didn't know there was some other orgs that use a completely different lingo.

There's this one euro org that uses light-middle for 154. :heh:
