:what:

Thats called getting KTFO

Quitting is Ortiz vs Maidana
Glass Jaw, quitting and questions around taking a punch are a slippery road that can all be lumped together at times, but to me personally I have questions are the those two, Ortiz & Khan, in these areas.

James Toney vs Vassiliy Jirov (High Quality) - YouTube

oh my god!!! look at this!! look at this!!!

that was great performance by James Toney btw...damn Toney was a skilled boxer in his prime i put him up there with Hopkins and Mayweather skill-wise...staying in shape was his only problem

the chin...when nikkas forget to keep their hands and/or move their heads its the last line of defense...some can take a punch; some can't...some it takes one punch, other its takes a couple more punches..regardless unless you luck out in the genetic lottery taking that shots like gatti did in that round 9 repeatedly will mess you up down the line

im actually surprised that fight wasn't stopped after that round anyways...me and my pops were wildin off gatti getting punched around like that...shyt was crazy

Thanks for the answer.
Honestly it was kinda painful to watch when I first saw those clips because I thought it was due to tireness and that he was basically being battered but I just realized it was his stance which was basically like that. The guy could take monster blows to the chin during 12 rounds without flinching, that's crazy.

Toney used to be one of my favorites. Dude was a complete beast, just had no discipline to keep the weight off.

Froch is hoping to make a rematch announcement with Kessler in 2 weeks time. :smugdraper:

Would be a good fight... There is a rematch clause in the Lucian Bute fight he just had, but judging by how the fight went I'm not sure Bute would want to face Froch anytime soon.. :jawalrus:

Article Link - Roy Jones: I Don't Care Who I Fight, Even Andrew Golota!

Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (55-8, 40KOs) could care less about Saturday's opponent at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland. As BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org reported last week, the scheduled opponent Dawid Kostecki (39-1, 25 KOs) was arrested for being the ringleader of a criminal organization. Jones will now likely face light heavyweight contender Pawel Glazewski (17-0, 4 KOs). But the American veteran is willing to fight any live body that is placed in front of him this weekend.

Glazewski, who was already in shape, accepted the fight and starting working out a strategy days ago. In a show of good will, Jones plans to visit Kostecki in jail.

"When I agreed to fly to Poland and fight, I was serious. It does not matter whether the opponent is Glażewski, Kostecki, or even Andrew Golota. I'm coming out to the ring to fight and win. I had no hesitation about participating in this event. Kostecki is the main reason why I flew to Poland. He found himself in trouble and it wouldn't be right to turn our backs on him. I realize that staying in jail is a hard thing, but to fight with Roy Jones is an even bigger nightmare," Jones said.

ive never thought id see the day where roy jones is fighting bums overseas for money....at least he's fighting a less dangerous bum :yeshrug:..god forbid that bum actually ko's him
