Exactly. It's always been his style that really held him back from KOing more dudes. Marquez hardly ever pressed for KO's back in the day. If they came it would be after a serious beat down or the perfect shot.

Same thing with Clottey. If he let his hands go more often he'd prolly ice a lot of dudes too. He was landing all types of dragon punches on Margarito until he hurt his wrists/hands.

In that Pacquiao-clottey fight I noticed that in the few punches Clottey landed he marked up Pacquiao pretty good which made me think he could have really made shyt hot if he had let his hands go

Yep. Dude throws quick compact shots that he turns over and lands flush. If you throw shots like that you're bound to do some physical damage and like you said it showed at the end of the fight. It's just that whenever he would attempt to open up, he get blitzed with a dozen shots in return so Clottey never got to land much. He would have stopped Cotto if he didn't let up and play follow the leader in the last couple of rounds.
