I said this before on sohh but why ppl expect roach's fighters to be defensive wizards...look at roach himself...now if you've ever seen past fights of freddie roach himself on youtube there's a reason why he got parkinsons

Khan needs a soft touch before going after anyone at 140

Khan was actually dominating Garcia in the first couple of rounds. What fight were you watching?

The Ummah!
1st I'd like to say, Amir Khan is a very nice young man, the hate he receives in the UK is crazy. Ricky Hatton got so much love, but..oh yea he was white

Khan's problem is he let Ariza go, whether it was the "special brew" lol or whatever, Ariza knows wtf he's doing. Another issue is Freddy Roach, I saw the fight and saw Danny getting in with the hook a few times before the first knock down, SMH @ roach not telling amir to watch for the hook BEFORE the fight. Khans biggest problem is, he fights too emotional and for the fans, nikka shouldve went the floyd route, rack them points up, dont get your face beat, win and keep winning, Instead he let that crack head angel garcia get to him, and wanted to KO danny. :yeshrug:

To say Khan aint sh!t is pretty rediculous, his hand speed alone makes him a problem for fighters. Yea hes not Floyd or on some GOAT shyt, but the nikka got skills.

Also Danny Garcia didnt really prove anything with this fight IMO, he got a nice lucky shot close to the back of the neck, that would almost paralyze anyone. Good fight though. Lost a lot of money, my gambling cash looking like :flabbynsick: thank GAWd I didnt bet my colicash, cuz we all know thats what really matters :shaq2:

Good weekend of boxing brehs

Even though I picked Khan to win, I'm not surprised he got KO'ed. His flaws been exposed too much for someone not to capitalize on it clearly. Khan's biggest mistake was that he fought aggressively instead of boxing aggressively like he normally does. Instead of doubling and tripling the jab to keep his distance to land his straights and hooks on the outside, He stood flat footed and tried to go for the KO with power shots. He also didn't use the ring like he normally does. With all that said he was still kicking Garcia's ass in a competitive fight. It just wasn't the best strategy to ensure him long term success in the fight. As long as Garcia was in range to counter in the exchanges he had a chance, so Khan really did it to himself. He's always been open for a left hook and he got hit with a nice one.

I don't believe in lucky punches either. If you train to do something everyday and it happens to work when the moment is right, luck had nothing to do with it, preparation did. I give Garcia his props. It's always nice to see KO's at the top level.
And Khan be so fukking cocky, kid thought he was ready for Floyd :bryan: If B-Level cats like Maidana, Peterson, Garcia can put hands on him frequently what the hell he think a top p4p fighter would do.

No matter how wild his shots were. Khan won the first couple of rounds :stopitslime:

I also thought Khan won the 1st couple rounds off activity alone. He also rocked Garcia a couple times too. Garcia wasn't getting white washed though cuz he did land some clean shots here and there and stayed competitive. Garcia looked like he was on his way to making that Teddy Atlas silent agreement right until........BAM, and we all know what happened after that.

So who ya'll think took the bigger L recently?

Khan or Ortiz, both stopped by underdogs.

I'd have to say Ortiz, cuz that messed up a future payday and he got a broken jaw against a smaller dude moving up.

You don't think this loss messed up a future payday for Khan either? If he won this fight he would be more or less put on to fight one of the top dogs in the division.

Of course, but Ortiz big fight was already signed and pretty much a done thing.

Nobody knew what Khan was going to do next but move up. Yeah he wanted Floyd but that wasn't some 100% sure thing. He prolly would of fought the winner of Alexander/Bailey so he could get a belt and then demand a big fight.
