salido beats loma because "i had to err on the side of experience which salido had in abundance"..i believe thats what i said :sas1:...that salido experience encompasses many things breh...and it gave loma his first loss :sas2:

:mjlol:at the thought of loma winning a belt in his second pro fight from a nikka like salido who had just finished throwing cruz and his gay parade in the bushes..fairy tales..not today :umad:

3rd fight > 25 fights and no title.

Actually interested in seeing Algieri fight again. I don't think he has any of the definitive skills that the top fighters at 140 or 147 have. But due to the fact he will be in fantastic shape, moves really well, appears to have a decent chin, heart of a warrior, and his ability to fight with movement...he can make fights a lot closer than may be thought before the fight or beat guys we don't expect.

Or he could flame out and be a short lived belt holder.

His style puts a lot of pressure on the judges and is a style I think a lot of fighters don't like to fight against.

Marcos Maidana on the Floyd Mayweather fight and discussions about fighting Manny Pacquiao:

Did you feel that in the first half you surprised him?

I felt I had his respect, maybe he was then a little scared. And then he began to run; went on his bike. Stood there ... but he's a good fighter. He has a very good defense, and I could not catch up. He had said in previous conference that he was going to fight me. But when he stood still, he felt a punch and then he was gone.

But in that first half, you were able to fight your fight.

Yes, I thought it would be more difficult. He stayed on the ropes. He stood there and I was able to hit him, but when he felt it he ran. The guy is a great fighter. He does things very precise.

If you had to fight him again, what should change?

Maybe I should try to calm down a little bit and throw some more harder shots. I was eager to hit and take it. Maybe that's why I could not hurt him [because my punches were not landing as hard].

After what you did in the fight, do you imagine that he would be willing to give you a rematch?

I don't think so, I don't think he will give me a rematch. I'm waiting, but inside I know that he's not going to give me a rematch.

Now that Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum of Top Rank are willing to work together, it opens up the door for other fights, like WBO champion Manny Pacquiao.

I heard that they had named Pacquiao. I did not know that there was a problem between Bob Arum and Al Haymon ... I'm just finding that out. It would be an attractive fight. Pacquiao is a very important fight, and I'm in the best phase of my career.

How should Pacquiao fight him? His style is far from your last two opponents.

It's another style. I do not know how I would fight him. But I always fight the same way, as I fought with everyone. With anyone, I always go forward. The opponent has to study me, and then decide whether he plans to run or stand still. My style is to go forward and it won't change. I never went in there to box anyone. I never came in there to run. I always did the same thing.

Floyd is gonna pick Maidana apart if they fight again. Maidana vs Pacquiao is a MUCH better fight than Algieri vs Pacquiao.

I'd like to see them fight. Without Ariza Shakes though, I now change my prediction and think Pacquiao will decision him.

Straight ahead boxers who just want to engage always say fighters who move with footwork are running. We've had both Maidana and Prov saying this recently. :mjlol::what::snoop::camby:

For some reason Fightnews didn't have him ranked at all for 147 . I knew that couldn't be right

They have the May rankings still posted....on the link you posted (the WBO actual link) they have the June rankings available.

You were right though. JMM aint gonna fight him again though, because he's gonna lose:manny:

Yea on second look, you should definitely lose that link... They have Algeiri listed as both the champ and ranked #13th for his own belt... On the ww p4p list Floyd isn't even listed and Pac is #1 :skip:
