Thought this was talked about as a fall fight? Stevenson moved networks for this and Fonfara was supposed to be his tuneup.
Obviously Stevenson's side needs to get this done or be hardcore pursuing it.
as much as i encourge ruslan's trashtalking to timmy...he wasn't robbed in any way...he lost a very close fight..even if that first round KD counted it would have been a majority draw..not a win....with that being said the rematch makes sense as they are both coming off losing their titles if ruslan cant get the rematch with algieri...sweet pea herrera showed danny how to box for at least 8 out of 12 rounds and got seriously jobbed. 
..danny should have went to go see that man again in the ring but noooo struggling with an assumed light touch means he needs to go even farther down the rabbit hole..speaking of salka...his fight with collado they have it for showtime on demand...to put it lightly i was not impressed...danny better not struggle with this cat

Exactly. I don't make much of the punch that buzzed Crawford. Crawford was getting outboxed and hit with clean punches the first 4 rounds and smiled them off. He changed to southpaw, started moving his head more, and also realizing he was at a speed deficit and he couldn't fight from a long distance all the time started closing the gap when he engaged. It seemed like he knew he couldn't find Gamboa by just using speed and deciding to risk eating a few shots by stepping in and forcing his offense on Gamboa. It worked great and Gamboa was getting caught and hurt by Crawford's offense.Crawford only seemed hurt when he caught that desperation fade close to the end of it. Other than that he was losing the 1st 4 rounds, but he never seemed buzzed with the shots. If anything he looked surprised that he was getting caught so consistently against a lil nikka.
Would like to see what he could do against a real puncher like Provo or Swift.
Crawford got caught by a clean punch engaging with Gamboa while pursuing the KO. That is a different kind of chin check than guys getting rocked by punches when they are in a better defensive position.
Crawford looked good. I think he can jump to 140 and fit right in and be a player, but he isn't top dog.

Ruslan was robbed of proper officiating. He wasn't robbed on the scorecards. The thing is this though, We don't know what kind of mental effect that early knockdown would have had on both fighters if it would have been official. Maybe that would have caused Provo to even brawl harder. Maybe it would have caused Timmy to box sharper. Who knows. That no call did impact the fight. We still got a FOTY out of it and the right man won, but it still had an effect. I agree that they should fight again since they're both belt free and just got that work.
Herrera on the other hand was just a victim of home cooking. He at least deserved a draw if they were gonna shaft him, but I don't think that fight was some robbery. Just a close fight that could have gone either way.
Danny would have gotten more credit for fighting Peterson straight away or moving up to 147 if he wasn;t going to rematch Herrera. This Salka fight is a horrible look.
