Also on that card, the bout between WBA/WBO super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux and Sod Kokietgym will be televised on UniMas via same-day delay at 11PM ET/PT on “Solo Boxeo Tecate.” This will be Rigondeaux’s last fight under his promotional contract with Top Rank.

the shoulder injuries cut his momentum down as did them losses to mayorga after the mosley fights...ill never understand why mayorga was able to trouble that nikka so much :patrice:

I'll tell you why. I watched Vernon coming up and although he was a great boxer.....he was a guy that would abandon that if someone brought it to him. I said before the first fight that if he "got mad" and tried to take Mayorga out, he would get knocked out. He underestimated him because Mayorga has no boxing skills really. I was gonna bet but was too chickenchit. Was kicking myself in the ass after that one. :snoop:

so in comes the 2nd fight and now, he gives Mayorga TOO much respect and doesnt take as many risks and he allowed Mayorga to land some eye-catching (even if not effective) shots. so he played it too safe the 2nd time. Couple that with his shoulder was really keeping him from fighting more like he wanted to.

yeah, but so blatently though? there tellin us that putting him on HBO2 will hurt more than it will help? He need to get over to Showtime. Hell he can at least get on Extreme like Fat Chad did.

damn. pwill last night, now you got me thinking about vernon forrest:wow:.....dude's talent level was insane. it's a shame he never reached his full potential. and it looked like he was finally putting those injuries in the past before he got his life taken. roger mayweather always said he woulda been floyd's toughest test.
Forrest my nikka but:childplease:

Forrest lost twice to Mayorga and once to Mora, lets not overrate for beating Mosley when Mosley career has proven he was a mediocre can facing muthafukker............
Yes, because Floyd fights like Mayorga and Mora lol.

None of that matters, b.

All I (and Roger) am saying is that stylistically, Forrest had the tools to give Floyd trouble: Tall, rangy, great jab, great power, etc. Nobody is saying he'd beat Floyd. but of all the boxers in the WW division the past decade, I'd give him the best shot at doing it.
