A fighter I once talked to, who sparred with Golovkin (and who shall remain nameless), said getting hit by GGG was like being hit with a brick. And that was with 16 oz. gloves. Imagine getting hit by Golovkin with 10 oz. regulation gloves. Did I mention this fighter is a light heavyweight who walks around near the cruiserweight limit?

The article isn't referring to GGG when it mentions the light heavyweight who walks around near cruiserweight. It's talking about the guy who spared with GGG. The author is saying he knows an actual light heavyweight who walks around at cruiser who said getting by GGG was liking getting hit with a brick. GGG

GGG hits so hard he hurts big light heavyweights with 16 oz gloves on.
