Quillin was getting walked down by Rosado during their fight, he's getting demolished by GGG if they ever fight... I think Geale would give him fits too.

-If Cotto was smart he'd face Marco Antonio Rubio and erase any chance of him losing his title due to a technicality.

-Sam Soliman told fightnews he has a date in the U.S. for later this year and can't take the Golovkin fight until 2015 :what:

against WHO? His mandatory won't be decided until September 20th, who the hell is he gonna face, in America, that's gonna be bigger than GGG? :mindblown:

July 17th article... :sas1:
``I’m getting offers from everywhere,’’ Soliman said.

``I’ve had offers to fight Andy Lee in Ireland, Anthony Mundine in Australia — I’ve had interest from Matthew Macklin and Martin Murray in the UK.

``I’ve been offered plenty of easy fights but I’m 40 now and I only want the really big fights at the end of my career. The biggest fight for me is to unify the world titles against the Geale-Golovkin winner.’’

:wtf: ..... and from the same article...

Soliman said he expected the chunky Stevens to win the eliminator but said he wasn’t interested in facing him until 2015 after first facing Golovkin or Geale.

GGG got these boys SHOOK......

"I walked over to Golovkin after the fight and I said, 'Whatever anyone said about you, you are better than that,'" said Gary Shaw, Geale's promoter. "In all my years in boxing, he's the best 160-pounder I've ever seen. He has all the tools and all the moves. I thought Geale could take him to a decision. The better man won tonight.

"There's nobody in 160, 154 and I'm not sure there's anyone at 168 who could be competitive with him for 12 rounds except maybe [super middleweight champion] Andre Ward."

They are always wrong though. We need some confirmation from somewhere else.

Personally I am very skeptical of this. IMO Cotto's best interest is to fight Canelo early 2015 (what Arum has said he wants). Means Canelo possibly gets Kirkland and Cotto needs a Dec fight like he said. JCC is good money, but he is too big and IMO Cotto doesn't stand a chance. An L means the Canelo fight probably doesn't happen.

Resume wise, he hasnt even surpassed Jermain Taylor yet....let alone any of the other top dogs over the years as a Middleweight such as Winky Wright, Gerald McClellan, Julian Jackson, Sergio Martinez, etc

As far as best 160 lbers since Gary Shaw got into the sport in 1970: Carlos Monzon, Marvin Hagler, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr, James Toney all say :what:?

Funny you say that. Was just reading an article by Steve Kim pointing out the same thing.
http://www.sportsonearth.com/articl...daniel-geale-next-fight?tcid=tw_share#!boYxkj

Gary Shaw, who represented Geale, said that, "In all my years of boxing, Golovkin is the best 160-pounder I have ever seen." Which may be a bit of hyperbole, given that the veteran promoter has been around the likes of "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Roy Jones, James Toney and Bernard Hopkins. But make no mistake about it, Golovkin is the dominant force right now in the middleweight class.

The point with any of the articles and comments though, however much overstatement they use is: no longer can GGG's resume be discarded. He may not have W's over guys like you mentioned, but those type of opponents aren't in the division right now. What GGG deserves is acknowledgment that in his last several fights he has beaten several top 15 MW's and Geale was a legit top 3 or 4 MW, and all have been easy wins.
Despite Cotto holding the belt, GGG now probably deserves the title as the best MW.

His future is tough as well...if potentially immediately unsatisfying as Kim's article points out:
Cotto - not likely to happen as Cotto is more suited for the 154 lb division. Much more lucrative fight vs Canelo.
JCC - passed on the fight originally and has now passed on Froch. No one sure about what his future will be.
Quillin - whether you believe or disbelieve he is a top 5 MW, he is with Haymon and will not happen.
Ward - has fought once in 2012, once in 2013, and most likely not at all in 2014. As long as he continues pursuing litigation, making a fight will be difficult.
Soliman - wants big fights and paydays as he is 40. May be the easiest to schedule a fight.

GGG has officially become the new monster under the bed for the sport of boxing.

Nobody wants to even look in this nikkas direction. :mjlol:

Hopefully Lara takes that step up. I'm sure he could outbox him just like he did Canelo for 10 rounds. :pachaha:
