I picked him to beat Swift and destroy Molina early and he disappointed me both times. Only time he exceeded my expectations was against Peterson. I thought he'd beat Lamont in a decision.
If he learns to cut off the ring and improve his footwork instead of leaning over when he throws, he might tap into his full potential.

i do..king lucas will not be denied..im well aware of his shortcomings but i still feel he will throw some 140 champ in the bushes in the near future...it doesnt matter who..we want all of them

I have it as B-Hop beats Kovalev and Stevenson. Kovalev beats Stevenson.
I still think 
beats Kovalev and has the best shot at beating BHop of anyone else in the division.If pressed I would take
over BHop just because of the size, youth, power advantage.And at least we can say we have seen

The two situations are different.
Danny Garcia is the reigning, defending, and undisputed Champion of 140. A title he won by defeating Lucas Matthysse in a close, but clear decision victory. Now that he's at that position he's got to remain that dominant force by facing top competition. Anything less than top comp is unnecessary for a fighter alone at the top of the mountain top. Struggling against Juventud Herrera and taking on Jerry Flynn in a meaningless catch-weight, non-title affair is horse manure for a fighter in his position.
Did Matthysse look less dominant in his stoppage against John Molina? Perhaps, but he DID stop Molina, brutally. Do I like the prospects of him facing either Essa Rios or Silver King? No. But he will get a pass by the boxing community. Do you know why?...........
