I'm shocked. The amount of Vallas signs on the southwest side made me think he was winning.
Apparently, there was a late surge in younger voters. Voters who are underestimated in their voting power. I believe that to them, Valles represented "more of the same"....whereas Johnson obviously seemed more relatable....despite being a green candidate.
People are going expect instant and unrealistic results.

I have a family member who is in his 80s, and he himself can't stand old politicians who are lingering and don't want to give up their seat. The Bobby Rushes and Danny Davises of the world. They bring nothing to the table at this point that is progressive.
One my worst fears..can’t imagine how the family is feeling to get that called at 5am. Rest in peace Brother
