u already know about jewels.

by my crib, jewels/aldi/walmart/food 4 less are all in the same area off 87th, and I do most shopping at aldi. I will hit jewels if they have specific sales. never do walmart, and food 4 less is decent, as they have pretty good prices.

I do costco runs every so often to get shyt in bulk like water, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap and chicken breast and other big items in bulk

Englewood residents are protesting

The Whole Foods that was located there has been replaced by a Save-A-Lot.

That's one hell of a downgrade. Then again, other grocery chains may declined the opportunity to open up there.

Someone made a thread on here about it, but some brothas from the East Coast purchased all the Save A Lots in the Chicago area and will be renovating and upgrading their offerings. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned that they were opening up a location out of that old Whole Foods. So the Save A Lot chains are all black owned now.

I hate save-a-lot. I wouldn't shop there. I shop at aldi/jewel/food 4 less/costco/sam's at any given time. no walmart either. I hate grocery shopping there.

Man, I remember when we had a few jewel stores in Decatur.

Now we gotta go up to bloomington since it's the closest city that has any.

They're loosing tons of money.. Employees AND customers are stealing. Same problem they had with Target on cottage. Plus the consistent shooting and killing of people on and around the property doesn't make things better. F*cked up situation all around..

Walmart on 83rd gave them another shot after the riots because they wasn't going to open after that. They even got hit by a mob a couple times by the Simeon kids. You even got this happening in broad daylight on 83rd. Absolutely no businesses owner or anyone else has to put up with this, no matter the race.
