Nah it ain’t no white gangs in back of the yards, maybe 30 years ago. All Latin king, la rasa, Spanish disciples etc. Probably the worst Hispanic area in the city.

My moms moved out to Beverly, it’s cool, it’s a lot of old white folks, who will be dying soon, if they not looking to relocate, and they kids probably don’t live in the city, or if they in the state at all, it’s still expensive, but you should be able to find something nice over there

A chick i used to date, live in Indy, in Hammond, Indiana goes hard for Chicago/Illinois people to move there, because they want our populace, the cost of living is cheaper, taxes cheaper, and you like op said a 20 minute ride tops from the city it’s like living in the suburbs, only cheaper, now i don’t know how the schools are so there is that, and a lot of hood transplants are moving there because Chicago is squeezing them out so don’t think every area is sweet

It take 2 hours to hit Iowa border just getting outta Illinois, another 4 just to get through Iowa on 80

By her logic Iowa is 2 hours from Denver

I go out to eat all the time in Indiana. Places are rarely crowded and plenty of spots to choose from, especially on Indianapolis Blvd. Same goes for shopping

Went to the gun range Saturday on Kennedy. All they asked for was ID cards. No FOID, no nothing. Just went right in, signed the sheet, paid...went downstairs and started blasting away.

East side of the park is fine. West is still shytty(was over a chick house last summer and then nikkas was bussin outside in broad daylight)
Back of the yards is a fukking dump. Dirty ass Mexicans past Halsted and that whole area smells due to the meat factory. And Mexicans are ten times more racist here then PRs

I'm from Gary, trust me do not move to East Chicago. Hammond I feel the same, but there's pockets where it's alright. If you're considering moving to Indiana make it one of the college towns(South Bend, West Lafayette, etc) or suburbs of Indianapolis only. There's only depression everywhere else breh.

I honestly believe that they don't give a fukk as long as ur paperwork is in order.

and mind you, I've been pulled over multiple times with a pistol in the whip (legally) with no issues.

If i and a job in Indiana I’d definitely buy there. The amount you’ll save in mortgage and taxes would be like an additional 10K in annual income.

I cannot do it. indiana is wack when it comes down to it. I like living within walking distance of the red line and multiple buses. also, chicago property taxes are cheap. I recently got an exemption. I'm only paying $2800 a year, which is nothing.

my parents live in oak park and own they crib outright, but they're paying 12K a year in taxes with no kids

I feel you. Definitely need to take other factors like family into consideration. $2800 is very cheap - You got a senior exemption or something lol
