if anyone hasn't been out to altgeld gardens lately, you'd probably be surprised how it looks these days. it's all cleaned up and looks much much nicer. they really put some money into the housing over there.

That was one of the last rehab jobs my pops worked on before he left the construction. Them buildings was filled asbestos and lead, shyt was designed to kill us in every way possible.

not to mention it’s steel plants and heavy industry surrounding altgeld pumping bullshyt into the air

The city let it happen, of course dusty nikkas looted everything in site. Businesses pay taxes for city services like the police who didn't do their job and focused on downtown and white areas.

It did. Whole Foods in Hyde Park is open though. They close at 7pm.

One of the few black businesses that's still open and they didn't get hit over here on 79th and Woodlawn. Dude said they been super busy and they are opening the rooftop this Saturday.
