This is a great post.I like this video. It misses a major problem when using lethal force to defend yourself. Stand Your Ground doesn't always work as an "Absolute legal defense". What that means is while SYG may protect you from criminal liability, depending on the state you are in, won't shield you from civil liability. Unlike a criminal case, where the burden of proof is "Beyond a reasonable doubt", in a civil case, the burden of proof is just a "Preponderance of evidence". So even though you are never charged with a crime, the family of the person you killed can sue you for monetary damages if they can prove you didn't truly have to kill their loved one. First book I read about concealed carry, recounted stories of people who properly defended themselves, but still had to spend tons of money in court, or suffered monetary judgements against them.
I forsee a future where firearm insurance like USCCA or US law shield are legally required for all gun owners just like automotive insurance is required for Car owners. Used to be with USCCA myself but went with law shield because its cheaper and i hopefully would never have to use them anyway.I like this video.
