it has always been false. Cats misinterpreted Axel Alonso and started that rumor.

Superman's my favorite superhero, but I love Batman, Flash, the whole Justice League really. The Sandman characters seem interesting too. If it's good I don't really mind if it's old. I just have no idea where to start which is why I never bothered.

Check out the Stephanie Brown Batgirl stuff -24 issues of pure greatness. It was fun too

A far as New 52 Superman goes I'd recommend starting with the early issues of action comics
