T'Challa did stab Namor and sent him to his death. Dude got lucky and bounced to the Ultimate Universe with Thanos and the Cabal. I know that's not a full on revenge but it's not like BP didn't do anything about that issue.

I know you guys hate Coates run on BP, to the point I haven't bothered reading it. What has been Coates explanation to all the shyt y'all don't like?

He hasn't given a direct reply but basically he's trying to build up a history and understanding of wakanda.
But nobody wants that as the main story hence why world of wakanda flopped....

In my unpopular opinion I think they should all stay dead. If they brought anyone back it should be OG Wolverine.

Didn't Namor come back a week later? And what made Namor surviving so bad was that from the very first issue of Hickman's run T'Challa was talking about how he was going to kill Namor. T'Challa swore he was going to kill Namor, then tried to let the shyt go because they had bigger problems only for Namor to fukk over Wakanda again, then he tries to kill Namor again only to fail and ultimately gives Namor a pass in the end.


As for Coates run the reason people don't like it is because it's a terribly portrayal of T'Challa. Early on T'Challa is portrayed as an ineffective and incompetent leader, Coates hammers home the idea that T'Challa sees his people as a burden and that he doesn't want to be king, T'Challa mopes for the entire first season. So much of the series is T'Challa listening to other people explain things to him or him giving a speech about how much he sucks and how his sister, Storm, or his mother are better than he is.

It's not a coincidence that the positive reviews of the series barely mention T'Challa, it's all about the supporting characters that Coates clearly likes more.

If Spider-Man, Wolverine, Batman, or Captain America were written that way people would be sending the author death threats.

I don't think people have a problem with Wakanda being fleshed out. In fact people were asking for that before Coates was named as the writer. The problem is Coates took the approach of throwing away shyt that people liked about Wakanda for the sake of "Grounding it in reality". A lot of the shyt Coates has said about Black Panther and the mythos is identical to shyt racist fanboys used to say about Black Panther.

Coates idea of "fleshing out" Wakanda is shrouding it in a history of rape culture in which the men were misogynist cowards and the women were victims/survivors of gender opression who rose to lead/buck back... in the name of "realism".

He was trying to all but label T'Challa complicit in allowing high ranking Wakandan priests to serial rape women (which caused the doras to finally "rebel" against "men") before he had to finally clean that shyt up 6-8 months later in that WoW mini series that nobody was checking for.

I get what your saying but I think you misunderstood my point breh I understand and enjoy the fleshing out if wakanda. But if I'm reading black panther I want a story about black panther. Not a story about everything else with black panther as an added character.

I'm not even on that anti feminism fukk bytches rah rah rah shyt but in every story so far it has come down to black panther breaking down and being saved by his sister, storm or some other strong woman.

T'Challa hasn't had a clear cut win since "Kingpin of Wakanda". He also hasn't gotten revenge on anyone that wronged him or his family (other than Fisk).

Saving shuri? Capturing Tetu and stopping the 'people'? pretty clear W's to me

Also when he created the weapon that defeated Thanos in Ultimates

I'm not sure I can even call the Kingpin of Wakanda a clear W since at the End the kingpin and the hand had him outnumbered

I'm not counting him shaving Shuri as a win because the majority of the series about him abandoning Shuri and being seen as a coward for doing so. It's not even like Shuri was in danger she was just chilling and absorbing knowledge.

As for defeating the people, T'Challa basically went to all of Coates pets characters and begged them for help. In fact a major theme of the story was that T'Challa was going to need everyones help to win and he'd have to go to others for answers.

And the Kingpin of Wakanda story absolutely was a win. He kidnapped Kingpins girl, stole have his money and gave it away, shut down dozens of his operations around the globe, then he highjacked Kingpin's computer network so he could monitor it and erase it at a moments notice if Fisk messed with Wakanda again.

I agree with that. They ALL should stay dead. Jean has been dead for what 10+ years now.
