I just read Ultimate Invasion again. And I just wanted to see if others who read it got the same understanding:

(1) We are to assume that Tony Stark (Iron Lad) ends up becoming Kang the Conquerer?
(2) The reason The Maker couldn't find Captain America is because Tony Stark and Reed created an Immortus Engine (Time Machine) and moved Cap at an earlier date in history than when the Maker went to find him?

1) Yes
2) I think they just went back and found him before Maker shows up

Yes and no. They are calling it Ultimate Universe as a cashgrab but the universe is nothing like the original UU

I kinda think the smaller the cut/puncture, the worse off he is.

Ultimate Invasion actually got me back into comics lol. I've been going consistently to my LCS for the first time since covid started

Gillen is a damn good writer because I would've probably hated this last issue of Immortal X-Men if anyone else had written it

G.O.D.S. was interesting but I can see a lot of people not giving a flying fukk about it, not sure why Marvel thought this was going to be a big deal considering it's almost a creator owned comic with some Marvel cameos . The banter between Dmitri and Wyn had me

dimitri/wyn reads like Hickman been reading/watching anime in his downtime. Those "comedic beats" where the art gets super cartoony.

kinda surprised there wasn't a panel of Wyn screaming for no reason while the "camera" panned to a city skyline/horizon.


I'm here for it, though. Wyn feels like they threw Adam Warlock and John Constantine in a blender.

Plus it's Hickman. The bad guys could be DC/Editorial/The Internet and Wyn could be an "avatar" of-

Like it was previously discussed, dude has had a New Gods pitchs for years now so it wouldn't be shocking if he uses some of it for this new thing. Marvel like "don't be mad at us for Secret Wars and fukking you over with the X-Men...you can do whatever you want "
