This. @NoHateLeftBehind prolly might be better off in District Heights. It can be hood but it do got more nicer areas than Oxon Hill since DH is a lil bigger, nicer cribs in some parts too like near the Dave & Busters.

Largo ain’t bad for the most part either, shyt’s like an overall more chill, greener, and less wild version of Landover with more amenities, more development, and a big ass park (S/O to Watkins Park).

Speaking of Landover, it’s a lotta townhouse communities near Morgan Blvd Metro and along Central Ave. They’re usually chill but the schools around there are some shyt except for the Montessori school (formerly Oakcrest Elementary, I was there 5th to 6th grades).

I live in Laurel man don't move in PG moe. If anywhere in pg, Laurel is the best place to be in the county, anywhere close to the dc line is terrible. I used to stay in Landover, kentland hot as shyt right now, I used to live in oxon Hill, certain areas is cool just stay away from east over and glassmanor and Southview. Ft Washington, Clinton and Accokeek best places to live in South PG

This.

Lol That’s one thing about DMV Caribbean food that I hate, they be taxing like shyt. Whereas up in NYC, most of these entrees usually be at least $3 to $4 cheaper.

There’s this one Jamaican joint on St. Barnabas up the street from Iverson Mall called Caribbean Goodness. A lotta folks on that side of PG stamp that place, their food be looking real good. shyt looks almost like Soul Food :noah:
Tropicanas Carryout on Georgia Ave NW was the GOAT Carribean spot in the area
GOAT chicken curry and jerk chicken

Y'all remember that spot? Location closed in 2012.

I think they moved to Temple Hills location and its Tropicanas Eatery.

Southeast DC
shyt :snoop:

I heard there's some good pockets of SE here and there, wealthy parts in fact :ehh:

I just gotta find a happy medium cuz right here where I'm at now might be a tad bit too much fukkery for me :francis:

Penn Branch, Fort Dupont, Dupont Park, Fort Davis and Hillcrest are where you want to look. I'm in this area and the fukkery is minimal.:yeshrug:

ATL, but rasied in DMV
iono :yeshrug:

I went out for a square and just saw a shorter breh running up the street and he confronted a breh who was a signifcantly bigger human being, they both wolfing for like 30 seconds. short breh takes his hat off and walks up on taller, heavier breh and the bigger cat is warning him to leave him alone. Then he hits shorter breh with a right cross, they tussle for like 5 seconds and bigger breh gets smaller breh on the ground and starts to ground and pound. He's punching this nikka like 7 8 times and with each blow you can hear his head bouncing off the concrete :damn:

short breh gets up and there's a lil pool of blood where he was getting his dome cracked into the concrete

lowkey fukked up my day seeing some shyt like that up close :to:

poverty makes us do some fukked up shyt to each other man

all my friends live in nw in the columbia heights and u st area and they're telling me I should move up there but I like the fact cacs ain't down this side of town like that, plus there is a HUGE difference in rent prices netween NW and SE

Like I said earlier I've been gone a long time and this is my first time living in SE and it's pretty wild in my area.

when the time comes and I get all my ducks in a row I'm thinking of moving to Oxon Hill :patrice:
Columbia Heights and the U street area use to be my old neighborhood when it was the ghetto. Talking about doing a 360 :ohhh:. But I still got bad vibes when I walked all the way up 14th and Chapin St. in 2008.

I used to live on Otis and Georgia ave right down the street from Howard China :blessed:

Columbia Heights and U st are unrecognizable :francis:

Not that it wasn't bad before but even with covid finding parking is pretty much impossible in that area now :snoop:
