The restaurants and bars looked packed as well as the street dining areas and it was hella music being played from them. Seeing ppl chillin on the stoops of rowhouses and street corners and folks playing tennis and basketball at that rec center in Adams Morgan at the bottom of 18th St.
Tomorrow will be the same. You right about the summer but July is the 9th circle of hell with the humidity.I decided to drive around DC a lil bit after getting off work around 6:00ish pm since I didn’t feel like going straight home yet. Maaaan the city showed the fukk out today, shyt was looking like the Summer of 2019!!
Hella crowds around 14th Street, U Street, Shaw, LeDroit Park, Adams Morgan, Florida Ave, Kalorama Heights, Logan Circle, and DowntownThe restaurants and bars looked packed as well as the street dining areas and it was hella music being played from them. Yea DC heat and humidity is next level, forgot bout thatTomorrow will be the same. You right about the summer but July is the 9th circle of hell with the humidity.

Coli summer submitmoved here almost 2 months ago. I live in NoMa and I checked google maps and saw that i’m central to a lot of streets and neighborhoods i’m always hearing about: U-Street, H-Street, Shaw, etc.
what’s are some bars/lounges to check out when things open back up? The only one I heard about really is Park and 14th.

Who is TOB and how was the show received? DC culture is opague. Many Many people have tried to mainstream it nothing worked. It doesn't help that Black DC residents are scattering more wildly that Michiganders.

Decades, DC9, Pure Lounge, Lounge of Three, Cafe Citron, MK Lounge, Vivid Lounge, Glow Lounge, Dodge City, Aqua, Velvet Lounge, The Gibson, Bossa Bistro, Brixton, Columbia Station, Black Cat, Blues Alley Club, Deja Vu, Penn Social, Madam’s Organ, Grand Central, etc.
I was about to mention Twins Jazz but found out that they’ve permanently shut down due to the pandemic![]()
They may be scattering but the culture is still strong out here, especially in the eastern half of the city and with PG County helping to hold it down. Otherwise, Moechella wouldn’t even be a thing.
As for TOB, they’re more so part of my generation of GoGo which is the Bounce Beat generation. Actually, I think TOB is the pioneer of the Bounce Beat sound. I just saw their IG videos of them performing in LA and they actually garnered quite the crowd![]()
