Yeah PG County is becoming latino as fukk. My mother got the same house since the 90's growing up my direct neighbors across the street to the left, right and diagonal from me were white. Then some of them moved and died it it became black. Recently it's slowly becoming hispanic the last decade.

I think a lot of the DC people being moved out by gentrification surprisingly ain't been moving to PG County as much as you'd think. They're moving to Charles, Moco, Howard...I think those areas have better and more available low income housing programs. I know of a few bytches living in some nice apartments out Silver Spring taking advantage of their housing programs.

This is on point...People are gonna go where they feel resources are the most adequate and it’s just way more options compared to the past ..Migration patterns are all over the place it’s a sign of the times..I got homies who are life long DC residents who moved out to places like Richmond, Charlotte, Charleston cause they want too…

Latinos done made there presence felt full fledge now its not concentrated to a couple areas anymore and honestly I'm not even mad at them…This is not the west coast where they are more territorial and shyt but gottdamn when they come they come deep lolll

My aunt has a house in Cheverly off Cheverly ave right by where Pg hospital us to be....and i remember when her neighborhood was a proud 100% middle class black neighborhood...had regular meetings, annual community events and all that.....a lot of those people much like my aunt still own the homes but mostly rent it out for a variety of reasons....But Latinos just happened to be the most in demand and consistent clientele in the area:yeshrug: .....I guarantee this the case in a lot of areas in the county

But yeah I got friends that live in DTSS in those newly built towers by Ga ave strip and the demographic is real live interesting to say the least:heh:....

I was very familiar with Cheverly. I mainly remember the houses close to where 450 and 202 split. I had an aunt who lived in those houses, when she and my uncle split up many years ago. It had gotten wild in the 80's, over in those apartments that sat on the right behind the playhouse theater off 202. A lot of my friends I grew up with, mothers would move in those apartments when they separated from their fathers. We was almost one of them. Our friends next door was definitely one of them, when their mother moved to those apartments after she left her husband. It shook me to the core when the youngest brother next door was gunned down right when he entered their apartment complex, after returning from work. Although he got caught up into selling drugs, he was a real good kid. I remembered when he was still on the baby bottle. I raised him into sports, and he went on to play for the high school basketball team, slam dunking. Anyway, he had recently come out of selling drugs, but he knew too much. I had just seen him at his cousins funeral three weeks before he was killed. I had saw him at another funeral about four months before that, and he sat beside me. He had his head tucked between his knees almost the whole time. We were all very close to the deceased, in fact I was one of the pallbearers. But now I know he had a lot more on his mind, thinking he may be next. I didn't mean to go on like this, but that was the third lost on the block in four months. When I hear Cheverly he comes to mind. I was hanging with his older brother during this time. Although he got high, his older brother never got in trouble with the law like his little brother.

But yes, Latinos seem to have saturated that area.

This started happening in these areas right around the early 80's. By the mid 80's, they would have these huge soccer tournaments at Fletchers Field. Then they started having them at Anacostia Park. I can't remember if it was the Latinos or the Asians having these huge soccer tournaments.

Any primary care doctor recommendations in NW? I called the GW Faculty Associates office trying to get a checkup with a Primary Care Physician, they said their next appointment for new patients is in October :hhh:

Three White DC cops suspended after brothers stepped in and stopped a cop from repeatedly punching the suspect in the face and stomach while handcuffed. None of the brothers will be charged. Wasn't about to have a George Floyd happen on their watch. Makes me proud to say I'm from the DMV, when I see brothers stick together like this.

P.G. County
@Sankofa Alwayz thinking of moving to either dc, pg county, or mo county wtw

Boston pissing me off and New York too expensive
You will not regret moving to a DC surrounding County. I speak as a PG County lifer. Come down, enjoy the county, enjoy the National Harbor, enjoy DC, enjoy the northern VA attractions. I cant recommend it enough.
