The MLK DC public library on G & 9th NW is one of the most underrated resources in the city.
I just took the 3D Printing intro class, now I’m able to use their UltiMaker 3D printers 2 days a month for free. Don’t even need to pay for the material, just bring in the files.
There’s also sewing machines, recording studios, video editing equipment…all free with a library card.
Over the past few months, I’ve been to several events there with Phylicia Rashad, Missy Copeland, Bill Nye, NASA astronauts, and a gogo on the rooftop.
