I was born in the Columbia Heights area on Chapin St, across from Clifton Terrace, way before it was gentrified. They set this part of 14th Street on fire during those Dr. KIng riots (The 14th Street Riots). But we never called this area Columbia Heights. They was calling this area Halem DC., along with 14th and U Street. Anyway, those Hispanics that took over Columbia Heights adopted some of that same mentality I see. What almost happened to you there doesn't surprise me.Wild story
I grew up in Landover, Lanham and Riverdale
I couldn’t imagine that happening to me today. But like 23 yrs ago that happened to me in old Columbia Heights, the Hispanics was on one out there before they built it up
I'm very familiar with Landover and Lanham as well, more so Landover. However one of my best friends til this day, grew up in Lanham.
