As someone thats thrown, hosted, judged, and participated in battles let me assure you that people throwing poor events doesn't discourage good promoters away from the business. We just laugh at those people for not knowing what they are doing. I knew Lush before this, before KOTD, before Grind Time, even before WRC. I've slept on his couch. Trust me, he knows what he is doing. Same goes for Dizaster.
The total slaughter thing is different though. Joe Budden just needed that to do exactly what it did, be passable, cause his and Slaughterhouse salaries were not contingent on numbers, they got paid up front. But the reason that Joe Budden/Hollow thing didn't hit its numbers was twofold
A) the poor ppv connections allowed complaints to be lodged and people to request refunds, and
B) the Math/Dizaster fight caused sponsers to pull advertising and support.
Both of the two major contributing factors to the event card itself not hitting its projection had nothing to do with talent or performances. Joe Budden & Daylyt could have put on a spectacular performace and they still would not have reached the expected numbers in the end due to refunds and lost ad revenue. So Cass being wack or not doesn't even matter. T-Rex was wack vs Clips, but the card was still successful. Being wack is a draw issue tacked onto the rapper not the brand or venue... unless there is a pattern of booking wack acts...
Everyone on this card can spit
and as long as no one has a legit reason to be refunded, it'll be fine, financially. So its not about to take us into some crazy rap reccesion even if it bombs. But there are guarenteed to be some good battles in there somewhere even if it goes off the rails.. so Relax and enjoy the show.

how could i hate him? nah he hustled and lush one and this billionaire dude bought into it. Call it what you want. If you're really a fan of the culture you shouldn't be too happy that they handed out 6 figures to with no battle history while we got dudes that put in work for years not getting 10% of that. No respect for the art form if you think you can just jump on stage with the killers and get busy at the drop of a dime. I didn't like it when they did it for canibus, I didn't like it when they did it for budden, and I don't like it now for cassidy. You don't need washed up rappers to sell battle rap, especially when they end up falling flat on their face. Will cassidy fall flat on his face? I don't know but history is not on his side. If he does, he says, oh well and walks out with a bag of money that could have financed a handful of great matchups .As for diz getting a payday, the last thing we saw him doing was jumping math with his homeboys at a battle event. Now he's the highest paid battler. Call it what it is. He fukks up lush ones event the lush makes him the highest paid battler ever. Guess lush was really upset about that. Rewarding bad behavior takes away from the legitimacy of battling. People hate daylyt gimmicks for multiple reasons but then they have no problem with one battler sucker punching and then jumping another one?
Call me a hater if you want, but I'm sure I didn't see you nikkas going crazy when they announced bonecrusher/fredro starr/keith murray were coming to the game so why is cassidy so different? Cause he battled freeway an hour after freeway had spit for 3 hours damn near 15 years ago? Or because he "was battling 20 nikkas" (who no one can name) everyday while living in a city at a time where everyone was battling each other?
