As someone thats thrown, hosted, judged, and participated in battles let me assure you that people throwing poor events doesn't discourage good promoters away from the business. We just laugh at those people for not knowing what they are doing. I knew Lush before this, before KOTD, before Grind Time, even before WRC. I've slept on his couch. Trust me, he knows what he is doing. Same goes for Dizaster.
The total slaughter thing is different though. Joe Budden just needed that to do exactly what it did, be passable, cause his and Slaughterhouse salaries were not contingent on numbers, they got paid up front. But the reason that Joe Budden/Hollow thing didn't hit its numbers was twofold
A) the poor ppv connections allowed complaints to be lodged and people to request refunds, and
B) the Math/Dizaster fight caused sponsers to pull advertising and support.
Both of the two major contributing factors to the event card itself not hitting its projection had nothing to do with talent or performances. Joe Budden & Daylyt could have put on a spectacular performace and they still would not have reached the expected numbers in the end due to refunds and lost ad revenue. So Cass being wack or not doesn't even matter. T-Rex was wack vs Clips, but the card was still successful. Being wack is a draw issue tacked onto the rapper not the brand or venue... unless there is a pattern of booking wack acts...
Everyone on this card can spitand as long as no one has a legit reason to be refunded, it'll be fine, financially. So its not about to take us into some crazy rap reccesion even if it bombs. But there are guarenteed to be some good battles in there somewhere even if it goes off the rails.. so Relax and enjoy the show.
