I don't see how he comes back. He has proven his worth and I don't think he would be ok on the bench even for his boyhood club. IMO, the Chelsea move would make more sense for him.

Difference is Ronaldo had to have Juventus and United specifically cater to his every need in order for him to keep scoring on a high level. Not only players deferring to him on the pitch but also teams having to completely change their tactics.
