He is so fukking risk averse it’s actually sickening

He sadly won’t drop the captain even though it’s warranted. I’m usually the most pessimistic Gooner but I’m confused as to why Arsenal fans are so disappointed?

It wasn’t a terrible performance. We had a disallowed goal by a matter of inches. Had that Merino headed stood, the floodgates would’ve opened.

Martinelli under delivered as usual. Arteta didn’t make any changes soon enough and we were missing Partey.

I’m extremely confident going into the 2nd leg. Our whole season depends on it, so we’re not going to play as conservatively as we did on Tuesday. It’s only ONE goal. We can easily overcome it. Plus Dembele is injured.

I’d actually be less confident if we went into the 2nd leg with a slender one goal lead. It wouldn’t benefit us to play defensively for 90 minutes away from home.

Ode pisses me off to no end though. i can't remember the last time he's made a run into space like the one MLS did when he gave that gift to Gab who of course scuffed the finish.

Partey coming back is HUGE, send Trossard to the bench, play Merino up top and lets go. I'm very optimistic.
