Wow this whole FDJ episode has been mighty embarrassing for Man U

I got second hand embarrassment reading some of those reports. Literally begging man to come and join you.. Senior execs flying out to go and bend the knee

:scusthov:

Club looks desperate as fukk

This is wild :dead: How they gonna get out of the debt if they keep on buying more players and piling on the debt?
Paying 50m for a 34 year old Lewandowski is crazy :mindblown:

Only if you take those reports seriously. Obviously Ten Hag had a conversation with FDJ and if Frenkie told him to go fukk himself he would've moved on like with Timber :hubie:

That's a video of Murtough and Arnold negotiating with Barcelona and agreeing on a fee for FDJ. They wouldn't be begging FDJ in a meeting with Barcelona.

FDJ doesn't want to leave Barca and Champions League but Barcelona is kicking him out. They're using their financial situation as an excuse, they clearly think he's easily replaceable and don't value him that much. And by the looks of it other clubs are not really bending over backwards to sign him either, they tried to manufacture Chelsea interest for him :mjlol:So while FDJ isn't ecstatic to come to United, it's his only option and ETH's presence helps.

Even if United's hierarchy is still completely incompetent and never talked to the player, we know ETH made the call.

The real hold up is the 17m he's owed.

We did a Euro 2012 thread pool. Which @ThaPrez won.

There are 2 reasons why not to bring money involved. A) Do you really trust to give money to some Internet random to hold for 10 months? B) Something could happen to the bursar for whatever reason and the moneys gone and then people got questions.
oh shyt, i half remember, good times

kunty is right, i don't know most of you let you hold the cash for 10 months

maybe something like this:

seems like a service designed for this purpose

i'll enter any league and i back myself, so whoever is game, let's go

and the guy talking about most points in the first half and second half? not sure about this one
and most valuable team? hell no

Oh I deff know these would be the top 2 reasons, but with the rise of smart contracts you’d think some developer would have developed an app for that.

Ex: 10 players put up $/€/£ 100 into a pool. Then each player is given an ID that they tie to their FPL acct.

An algorithm would be programmed to release funds to a specific ID under certain conditions. So for the 2022 season, you write a script to scrape the FPL site for the FPL name with the highest point total after a certain period of time, then match the FPL name to the ID. The algorithm would recognize the match then release the funds to the respective account.

Whole point of digital autonomous organizations (DAO). This is a good use case here. Just a thought
