Why is it Vitinha instead of Vitinho ?
I understand that a masculine name can end with a inha if it ends with an a like Rafa for example but isn't Vitinha the nick name for Vitor ? What is the rule here ?

My understanding is that since the name Vitor comes from the word “vitória” some people use that as the base word for the diminutive form.
