The obsession with every and any trophy is a new phenomenon. I don’t recall this being a thing in the 2000s.

Can't lie I been thinking this for years now.
I'm not into this you can finish anywhere in the league as long as you win a trophy business.

A season for me isn't just defined by what you end up with cause there is a whole 9 or so months I want to enjoy not just the end result.
21 Losses will never be OK in my books,

United and Spurs could have legit been in a relegation battle had we had at least one competent team come up from the championship.
Congrats for winning a cup but reality sets in just like it did for us when we won the FA Cup that serious progress needed to be made still.

United won cups two years running and have gone backwards as a team, can't just hang everything on winning a cup here and there.

In the end both teams ended up qualifying for the Champions League but only one ended up with a trophy. I'm actually an Arsenal fan but the mental gymnastics of our fans is embarrassing sometimes

There's no mental anything, Beloved. But im not taking 17th place and 2nd rate trophy.

Because league play is the true indicator off what your team really is. Im not hating on their win. But thats good for them.

In a week or so after all the celebrations. Its gonna hit them. Our team is really crap

Disagree with the idea that we’ve stood on europa league trophy against Chelsea. it’s a second rate trophy. Even more so with the new format where 3rd in ucl group stages doesn’t go down to europa.

To each their own tho, but I rather have the club be feared/respected by winning games which translates to challenging for the title or winning/going deep in UCL. FA cup, league cup and Europa league are tier 2 consolation prizes and are only noteworthy when a team wins a double or treble which is just claim to being the most dominant that given year. I can guarantee no one fears and respects us bro. I love this club, we have heritage, but in this day and age we’re a small club masquerading as having clout.

We don’t win enough. I’ll never downplay an FA Cup, I take pride in us having won it the most ever, but to be a great club which is where a lot of fans think we belong we need to start winning the leagues (again) and European trophies. A trophy is a trophy, especially when you don’t win many of them anymore. Just look at what it does for the fans, Crystal Palace and Tottenham will 100% take their season over ours and rightfully so

It's not a 2nd rate trophy and never has been. Most Arsenal fans would have gladly taken a Carabao cup this year. We've been shyte all season if we're being honest.

I'm hopeful of a good transfer window and we'll see what happens next year

I've noticed in like the last 5-7 years the newer wave of football fans downtalk any trophy that isn't the league or the UCL. It is absolute spoiledness, entitlement, delusion, and very asinine. It's paired with the whole "financial reward" talk that dominates comversations now..... it is weird.... it is some deluded loser talk......

GTFOH with this bullshyt........ the UEFA Cup was actually seen as the harder competition to win before they opened up the UCL to all lower placed teams. This talk of "consolation prizes" is some peak level idiocy... if this is how folks like you see things along with the "balance sheet trumps all" fan base, it is clear to see y'all have never done a competitive thing in your lives........
